Definitely return
Pros:

The location was perfect to explore Harrogate. Very comfortable bed, larger than expected. Great bar and restaurant, we had some excellent Thai food for our evening meal on the outdoor terrace. Staff were super friendly and the breakfast was cooked fresh to order from the menu and was delicious.

Excellent value for money
Pros:

We arrived earlier than check in, hoping to have some lunch and a drink, however as we had a case we were asked if we were staying at the hotel by the barman and directed to the reception, we were informed our room was available and checked in.

Great for a stopover
Pros:

My only suggestion would be a bigger bed. The beds are lovely and comfortable but for the size of the room it could take a a king or even a superking

Lovely place to stay
Pros:

The room was lovely and clean. Nice added extra touches for tea and coffee and bath products.

Cons:

Bed was uncomfortable, dressing gowns were abit tatty. First gent who greeted us wasn't as friendly as the second guy who actually checked us in.

Annex room not good
Pros:

Staff and breakfast were good

Cons:

We were in the annex (13) which is essentially a converted outhouse in the car park away from the main building. Bathroom was falling apart, no ventilation so water dripping down walls. You’re essentially sleeping next to a small road also. The pictures make it look a lot better than it was and we were quite disappointed for a 4* hotel with 8.9 reviews. I assume the rooms in the main building were better but the annex wasn’t great.
