This quaint heritage inn is situated amongst mature Douglas fir, and across the road overlooking a marina and cove; and ten minutes from Sidney’s centre. The interior decor appropriately compliments the wood finishing and tutor architectural features. The Lady Byng room was comfortable and the bed was superb. Approximately 20 minutes from the airport, and even closer to the ferry, I only wish I was staying longer.
Being lactose and gluten intolerant, the breakfast offered gluten free toast, but no other choices.
The whole Inn, along with the room and overall vibe itself is very cool and historic, but in a very elegant way. The rooms are very quiet. The Manager Jass was so polite, professional and lovely. The breakfast was very delicious. We would definitely stay at the Latch again.

The bathroom in the McClure unit is run down and needs some renovation on the bathtb and general decor. The Victorian bathtub is leaking water using the shower. The faucet is loose and not cleanly flowing,l.
The garden landscaping needs a bit of work to restore it to the beauty of its existing glamour, and in line with other houses and condo around the neighborhood.
The carpet is dated in the room and needs a refresh.
The inn's history and setting provides excellent potential with some touchups.

Charming building at the end of the road. Comfortable bed and quiet overnight.
Remember that the walls are very thin in an old building. The carpeting in our room needed a shampoo cleaning. Unfortunately our room abutted the marina where they started power washing boats at 7am and continued all day. The grounds and building itself is in need of repairs and some TLC.
Staff were very helpful. Good communications. The room was spacious. The lounge area comfortable and cozy.
The breakfast menu was excellent for a B&B, many choices and fresh fruit. The 'Old Fashion' theme of the building was felt and seen though out the inn.
Charming historical building, spacious room with comfortable bed and good breakfast The breakfast room and common areas are lovely. We made arrangements to check wein late and it was no problem.
The carpet in our room was extremely dirty, window latch was broken so it was impossible to open the windows properly, shampoo seemed to be watered down, towel bar was broken, bath towel was stained, and generally it seemed like updates are needed.
Bed was super comfortable. Large cozy room. Quiet night sleep. Breakfast was yummy. Staff was kind. Lovely stay.
