We did not stay and had to spend a lot of time researching and obtaining other accommodations.
Pros:

This hotel is in a good location close to downtown attractions.

Cons:

This hotel was not as advertised. We later learned it has been sold to the Marriott. The restaurant and bar were closed, changing the whole atmosphere we had previously enjoyed. The whole place was desolate and appeared to be undergoing renovations. No one advised us of the status of the changes being made prior to our arrival. The staff informed us we would be better off to stay elsewhere, which is what we did.

Lexington’s 21c Museum Hotel-Avant Garde and Quirky
Pros:

We spent one night in Lexington and picked the 21c Museum Hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews. It definitely has a quirky personality!

To start the hotel and front entrance are a little hard to spot—I actually drove past it a couple of times and had to call to ask what I should be looking for.

That said, the valet team was fantastic and gave us stellar service throughout our stay.

We were given room keys that failed to work and had to change rooms to get one that had a lock and key that did work. The hallways looked weathered and could use an upgrade

The room was also a bit unconventional in both layout and decor, but the bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent.

They also added a couple of nice touches, including a complimentary Bourbon pour at the “Night at the Museum” and a discount on breakfast at the lovely Lockbox restaurant on the first floor, where we enjoyed a delightful meal.

It was a perfectly good place to stay for one night. For a longer visit, though, we probably would have chosen something a little more traditional.

Huge room, loved the vintage aspect of the hotel. Staff at the check in desk and restaurant were. Ery friendly and helpf

Beautiful hotel but until they get proper city windows I would stay again.
Pros:

I love 21 c hotels. The art installations are beautiful and moving. The staff were welcoming and kind. The downtown location is great-it’s convenient and very walkable.

Cons:

The location is great, however, the windows in the building are not proper city windows that deaden sound. There were a shocking number of motorcycles and loud cars through the night. I lived next to the BQE highway in NYC for years and never did it sound as loud as the vehicles passing through here. The room could have been cleaner as well. The phone had clearly not been cleaned in a long time, the nightstand was so dusty it made me feel like the rest of the room wasn’t as clean as it appeared.

Pros:

Ceiling and floor tiles were missing. Just looked not the cleanest because of that. There was no soap in the shower. The sink was also clogged. I feel like $300 was a lot to spend on what we got

Phil Wickham concert stay
Pros:

We had an one night stay for a concert at Rupp Arena. We were warmly welcomed by the valet and the front desk staff as well. Everyone on staff that we interacted with were kind and helpful. The room was well appointed and spotless. We enjoyed our stay and slept well and the location was adjacent to many restaurants and a short safe walk to Rupp. We will choose again on our next visit to Lexington.

Great Location, But Worn Rooms, Weak AC, and Poor Housekeeping Make It Hard to Recommend
Pros:

Pros: Great location in downtown Lexington. Great, knowledgeable bar staff.

Cons: The hotel is very tired and worn. The staff is lethargic with the housekeeping effort among the worst I have seen for an alleged 4-star hotel. No new tissues, bathroom drinking glasses, etc.

The AC in our room didn't work upon arrival and required an engineer to fix it and even then, it was underpowered. Lastly, a very unpleasant sewer smell wafted about frequently in our room.

Don't recommend you stay there until they redo all of the rooms.

Pros:

Property was exceptional. Loved the location.

Cons:

The dining room divider was open, the mater di was at his station and I walked in and asked to be seated. Mater di says, "We're not open yet??
Now to be sure I was wearing jeans and a tee shirt, I was traveling on my motorcycle.
Now if there is a dress code I could accept that but the reason that was offered seemed a bit unauthentic.
Not to worry, I dined next door and had a marvelous meal.
Sign me, disappointed!
