De plek in de stad, heerlijk centraal
We zijn denk ik op het verkeerde been gezet door de naam Boutique Hotel; het is namelijk best groot (80+ kamers), het ontbijt daardoor heel strak geregisseerd, bepaalde ruimten voldoen aan het beeld van een Boutique Hotel, maar zeker niet alles!
They really made me feel so special for my birthday - upgraded our rooms and had a chocolate cake in the suite! The property was beautiful and so central, rooftop pool and spa amenities were so nice to come back to after a day of hiking

Cannot find fault with this most beautiful hotel in the heart of Funchal down a quiet side street. À la carte restaurant serves delicious food with excellent staff. Housekeeping do an amazing job keeping the hotel spotlessly clean. There are lovely seating areas, a good bar, rooftop pool/terrace with the best views. Our room was lovely with balcony overlooking courtyard, nice comfy bed and lovely bathroom with good size shower, good towels and beautiful toiletries.
The spa is worth a visit, it’s a must. The designers have done a wonderful job with this historic hotel.

Excellent location and a comfortable hotel with attentive and helpful staff. Plenty of quiet spaces to enjoy unique views from delightful roof top pool deck. Real boutique feel plus delicious food.
This is an amazing hotel! I'd recommend it to anyone. It's beautiful, spotless, the breakfast is amazing and the staff on reception were wonderful. Rooms are fantastic.
The Iris bar is very nice. However, on night one I was given wonderful service and lots of snacks from q fantastic barman whereas today (17.5.26) there was a new person serving - a bald, miserable, unpleasant man. I asked for a Baileys, he ignored me. He gave me about 5 nuts with my first order! Compared to the previous server it was very disappointing and next time I visit Madeira I'll be avoiding this bar. Quite a frustrating end to my stay in the hotel actually as he really was not very nice.

Lovely boutique hotel in a fabulous location of Funchal. It’s situated down a lovely side road and off a beautiful square and in a quieter part . It is in the centre of everything and easy to to get to the port. We had a large room with a balcony which was really lovely to have. The bathrooms were spotless and not worn looking. The roof top pool was lovely with a great terrace to either sunbathe on or have food and drinks. The higher up terrace has a jacuzzi and more seating area. The staff were lovely and welcomed us with a glass of bubbly.
Breakfast was fabulous with a buffet and or cooked breakfast to order.
Would definitely recommend!
Quite thin walls which meant you could hear your neighbours quite easily.
Lift wasn’t working for 2 days so had to use staff lift which was fine.

Luzes brancas (frias) e o serviço das funcionárias do restaurante (no pequeno almoço) é muito pouco simpático.
Die Lage war sehr gut, fußläufig alles gut erreichbar. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und die Größe komfortabel (Nr 312).
Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker. Alles was man an Speisen bestellt hat war sehr gut.
Der Service beim Frühstück, im Restaurant und in der Bar war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Musik am Abend in der Bar war sehr schön.
Wir hatten nachts ein Geräusch wie von einem Generator, dadurch kam es nachts zu Störungen der Mobiltelefone, was sehr laut wurde. Wir haben diese daraufhin abgeschaltet.
Der Preis schien uns hinsichtlich des Designs der Zimmer etwas hoch. Zumindest sollte dann die Minibar oder das Wasser im Preis inkludiert sein.
Parkplätze sind vorhanden, sollten bei dem momentanen Zustand aber eher kostenfrei sein, da es schon ein bisschen Geschick beim Einparken erfordert.
Super vriendelijk onthaalt en zelfs een upgrade gekregen. Restaurant ook erg lekker eten. hebben ook een parking voor de auto.
