Fisherman's Village

It was not very clean. The apartment floor appeared to be not cleaned at all, the bathroom only superficial. We traveled with teenagers. Family room and surrounding is more for families with smaller kids (not too young as the steps to attic where the kids sleep are steep). Hard to take a shower without flooding the bathroom.

The fan didn’t work in the room, the tv didn’t really work and no soap in the dispensers. Sink and shower. No top up of coffee, tea and sugar in the room. Let us the dirty tea cups everyday. We had to wash them out.

Hôtel un peu fantôme qui a l'air d'avoir fait son temps, sans personnel sur place, sans informations sur les endroits où manger ou bien prendre le petit déjeuner. La chambre est agréable mais tout est un peu usé et mal entretenu, ce qui ne se voit pas sur les photos de booking. Par ailleurs, nous pensions avoir une chambre avec des fenêtres donnant sur l'océan mais notre chambre était entre 2 autres cabanes et n'était pas aussi lumineuse que ce qui était montré sur booking, ce qui est décevant et trompeur par rapport à la réservation.

The water in the sink and shower takes too long to drain.

The room wasn't always clean, with stains and patches of dust. The rooms were extremely small, which led us to issues in fitting luggages and clothings.

The hot tubs were not well maintained and they were located in a messy area. Also the blinds did not keep the room relatively dark.
Having a breakfast/coffee and muffins option would be welcomed as there is nothing close by.

Weird atmosphere. As if we were on a filmset with Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Carribean. They tried to create a seaside atmosphere, based on the fisherman theme, but it completely failed. The place is shabby, looks and feels cheap. It completely lacks the beach style chique like you see in the Danish North Sea Islands which would have been much better. The entire place could do with a revamp. Everything is worn out, in our room the bathroom in particular, and not clean. Also, a complete lack of normal facilities like a decent reception (= hospitality!), a bar or availability of breakfast indeed makes you feel like a fisherman in a small wooden boat. Nevertheless very pricey, likely because of being close to Reykjavik, not to mention that Iceland is a very expensive country anyway. We used 8 hotels during our stay here and this one was the most expensive but the lowest quality. Sorry but that’s it.
