Unacceptable&rude treatment by night staff

Unfortunately, our experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Akron Downtown was seriously affected by the behavior of a night employee.
On Monday, August 17, at approximately 11:20 PM, the employee confronted us in an extremely rude, aggressive and intimidating manner because by mistake we entered the hotel without using our room key card to open the entrance door.
We completely understand and respect the hotel's security procedures. The problem was not the rule, but the way we were treated. There was absolutely no need to speak to guests in such an aggressive and disrespectful manner.
I was traveling with my teen sons, who witnessed the entire situation, and we felt uncomfortable and humiliated. As foreign guests whose first language is not English, we would expect hotel staff to communicate rules with patience, courtesy and professionalism.
This behavior was particularly disappointing from a Marriott property. A simple, polite explanation would have resolved the situation immediately.
I hope management reviews this incident and uses it as an opportunity to ensure that all guests are treated with respect,

Great Value and great location
Pros:

The Young Lady who checked me in was excellent, professional, quick, and polite. The room was VERY large and well appointed with an excellent view of the city. Plenty of options for me to work at the desk of the comfy chair / lounger in the corner of the room. Great value for money (my 5th stay at this location) and I will be back again.

Nice place downtown
Pros:

It was part of our package for Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week. Very nice hotel. Room was comfortable and clean. Bistro was ok. Ate there once and that was enough. Staff was very nice. Supervisor of room attendants left us a very nice note about a miscommunication regarding refreshing room.

Nice hotel although finding the actual entrance with all the other businesses was a bit confusing driving by, high outside sign was okay but door wasn't obvious

Cons:

Parking confusion and whatever the noise was happening about 10 pm that was fireworks possibly or someone have a great time with a set of drums/musical instruments that were banging.

Large size of double room. Quiet. Comfy beds.

Cons:

Pool was not heated. Shower was slippery. Parking situation is not pleasant.

Pros:

I am a Head Coach of a travel softball team, and our families had the pleasure of staying at this property for (4) nights. Make sure you ask for Thomas ( I believe he is the maintenance man/custodian). He is the most kind hearted person you will ever come on contact with.... Truly he made our stay, and Marriott should be honored to have this gentleman on his team. Thomas if you see this message, all my continued blessings to your family my brother!!

Cons:

I couldn't bathe my kids. The shower water temp was horrendous. It was not stable. It went in waves of freezing to scolding hot. You had 10 seconds to wash and then wait a minute for it to cool down and so on. And the shower floor wasn't clean. Hair and dust from previous guest were in it.

Cons:

The pipes in the shower would rattle during our showers and we would have to turn off the water then turn it back on to make it stop. The air conditioner also had to be reset each time we returned to our room to cool it back down because it wasn’t working properly. We were also charged a considerable amount more for the room than what we were quoted when we booked the room.
