Location amazing and staff
No air-conditioning.....I didn't realise that...next time I need to check whether they have a room with one!
I am disabled and use a wheelchair. The property was very easy to navigate and the dining room was very easy to get to a table and the staff were happy to help at the breakfast buffet.
Our room was situated in the pavilion which was great as we had a furnished patio. The air conditioning was also very efficient. I would not like to be there in winter as you had to go outside to reach the main building
The location was great we were able to find easily and it’s was nice and quiet. Nice selection of choices for breakfast.
There was lovely balcony however it wasn’t very clean so we didn’t spend much time there.
Hotel was excellent, staff at check in were very friendly, room was very clean, breakfast was very nice, the chef made eggs for me when I asked! The pool was excellent, it wasn't very busy with very good facilities. We also got a cocktail and meal at Carrie's bar, both of which were excellent! We couldn't fault it and would definitely return! Location was good for visiting Cotswolds towns and also Bath.
Great breakfast and staff
No fridge in room. No air con in room. Very dated room on the main building.
Nice room. Large TV.
Pillows-bloody awful. Understand the need for type used but why hotels don’t offer alternative for those of us who do not suffer with allergies. Cheap Oscillating fan (Dyson style) completely ineffective. A standard bladed fan would have provided more benefit.
Spa was good, bar food lovely. Staff in spa, bar and reception were friendly and polite
Staff at breakfast were dismissive and rude. Hot breakfast was cold, coffee machine not working. "Oat" milk jug was actually filled with cow milk
Its comfortable but I don’t think any 4 star hotel should promote free WiFi as a plus, this is a basic utility and it discredits you to try and pretend this is a bonus luxury.
No decent air con- no minibar in room or cold fridge. No herbal tea options. No decent plug sockets or phone chargers near bed.
Very friendly staff
Everything you could need in rooms lovely and clean
Nothing
Nice pool area and outside space
Air conditioning unit was broken in 2 out of the 3 rooms we were staying in.
The spa was excellent clean and the view was breathtaking.
The food needs a lot of improvement, breakfast was very bland. The main restaurant food was not very fresh and tasteful. it needs to bring up the standard to match other hotel facilities.
The location- views were gorgeous.
Amenities- fantastic pool.
Restaurant(Dinner) - Speed of service and food quality 👌
Restaurant(Breakfast) - good selection but majority 'hot' items were luke warm. Salt and pepper was hard to come by.
Staff- only 2 reception staff seemed happy to be there.
Room service- being in hospitality most my working life, barely come.across a hotel that offers room service, decline an easy order 5 mins after kitchen closes. Majority offer out of hour snack menu. Bare in mind this was 21.35pm. Then in the morning asking to buy a soft drink from the bar at 9.10am was also declined.
Due to my other activities in the area which entailed an early start, and a relatively late return in the evening I only had 1 evening meal and 1 breakfast the following morning. These meals, though ,were excellent
I can't think of anything about the hotel or it's staff that I didn't like. I just enjoyed the atmosphere and the pleasant countryside surrounding the hotel.
