Room not been ready
Room was comfortable and to a good standard
WIFI was non existent , as a bussiness traveler i could not get any work done in the evening , neither phone or laptop had connection. I spoke with staff who assured it was a new system. However no improvement
Dinner on night 1 was very good, waitress excellent.
Staff were reasonable.
Bathroom was disappointing. Radiator was boiling continuously with no control possible due to broken control. Toilet seat was only connected by one connection, the other was insecure. The sliding door into the bathroom was heavy and difficult to slide open and shut.
Shower and sink operation was good.

Everything. The property definitely needs some TLC and money spent to upgrade it.
Breakfast was excellent, it’s the hotel that requires updating as this would have made all the difference to my opinion.
Radiator was not connected to the gas in the bathroom, toilet roll in squares went out of the arc years ago, blinds in the bedroom wouldn’t stay up because of the window being opened , curtains not hung properly.

Obwohl der Aufenthalt angenehm war, bin ich leider extrem von der Servicequalität enttäuscht.
Wir haben eine sehr teure Hardshelljacke im Zimmer hängen lassen und haben dies leider erst am Nachmittag bemerkt. Wir konnten leider nicht anrufen, da unsere e-sim nur für Datenverkehr ausgelegt. Alle unsere Kommunikationsversuche über booking.com blieben unbeantwortet, das persönliche Erscheinen am selben Abend war erfolglos, da bereits anderes Personal im Dienst war und die Jacke trotz mehrerer Bemühungen nicht mehr auffindbar war. Man versicherte uns, dass die Jacke irgendwo sei und man uns diese selbstverständlich übersenden würde. 3 Tage später erhielten wir nach einer Urgenz per Email die Antwort, die Jacke läge nun zur Abholung an der Rezeption bereit. Mehrmalige Bitten, uns die Jacke zu übersenden - gerne auch auf unsere Kosten - blieben unbeantwortet.
FAZIT: SEIEN SIE ACHTSAM UND VERGESSEN SIE IN DIESEM HOTEL NIEMALS IHRE SACHEN!
Location was ideal for us. Gentleman who checked us in was both friendly and helpful.

Had to move the kettle to a different plug as it wouldn't plug in the socket beside it.
The hairdryer didn't have a proper plug on it.
The window couldn't be opened to let some air in and the fan that was in the room wasn't working 😞
We never saw anyone to air our problems to. 🥺
The staff, especially the maintenance guys, seemed genuinely interested in fixing the problems presented. The location worked for what we were doing.
The front desk guy was nice and was clearly working very hard there as the receptionist, maintenance coordinator, bartender and waiter in one.
Not having hot water at a hotel is an immediate downside to a stay. They were able to remedy it within a day and since we stayed 3 nights, that was very good or we would've been really unhappy.
This hotel seems to been the midst of renovation but it's clearly not done yet and I was hoping for more small town charm and service. If the hotel is older, it has the opportunity to make up for its maintenance issues with charm but this was lacking here. I was hoping for more of a rooms above the pub vibe where the receptionist would greet us warmly and take us to our rooms telling us about the area, etc but we got a basic check in, here's your key, and then it was quite the maze to find the rooms.
TV not working. Shower cold. Poorly insulated. Loud music until late at night.

Booked pet friendly room, only to find out they wanted to charge £30 for my wee dog for one night. Couldn't get bar snacks as kitchen was closed at 3pm. Big stain marks down wall where roof had been leaking at some point. View across flat roof, ventilation system etc was awful.
