Great location on bus route from Princes St. Clean and spacious room.
Room was a bit warm even with the window open.
Very expensive rate, but that’s Edinburgh these days.
Très belle bâtisse ancienne avec beaucoup de cachet, face à un immense parc. Chambre spacieuse, confortable et propre, une literie de bonne qualité. Le petit déjeuner est correct et la salle donne sur le jardin. Le personnel est très professionnel, accueillant et très attentionné, aux petits soins. Grâce à leur bienveillance nous avons changé de chambre et pu dormir une nuit complète sur trois, encore merci.
Super emplacement pour tout faire à pied, à 15 minutes de la vieille ville et des principaux sites à visiter, avec arrêt de bus juste à côté.
L'accessibilité avec des valises, pas de rampe d'accès, différents niveaux d'étages avec toujours des marches pour rejoindre les chambres. L'hôtel nécessite des travaux de rénovation intérieure, notamment pour l'insonorisation, pas de double vitrage. Situé en façade sur une route principale et à l'arrière des appareils de climatisation et chaudières très bruyantes.
The Bruntsfield is a comfortable hotel, convenient for Edinburgh Napier University student accommodation in Fountainbridge. The bathroom in the room was excellent. Quality and choice at breakfast is good.
The staff were very helpful when we had to extend our stay for two days after a mixup with dates at another place.
The decor is slightly tired in places and the breakfast presentation could be a little improved.

Cooked breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Handy location, neither too close nor too far from the centre. Plenty of parking available (early Sept).
Some of the carpets due for cleaning, especially down to the restaurant/bar. It's an old building but creaky floorboards could be fixed. Be aware there may be a couple of steps up/down, depending where the room is.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut. Gefallen hat uns, dass warme Speisen wie Omlette, Speck, etc. von einer Karte ausgewählt werden konnten und frisch zubereitet wurden. Die Lage des Hotels ist etwas ausserhalb der Innenstadt, kann aber gut über die Buslinie 16 erreicht werden. Von der Busstation zum Hotel sind es nur 4 Gehminuten.
Das Haus ist sehr alt. Der teilweise stark unebene Dielenfussboden wurde im gesamten Zimmer durch einen Teppich überdeckt. Trotzdem ist der Boden uneben und man merkt beim Gehen die defekten Dielen. Trotz abgedrehter Heizung war es im Zimmer sehr warm. Eine Lüftung oder Klimatisierung gibt es nicht. Die Fenster können einen Spalt weit geöffnet werden, was allerdings zur Folge hat dass man den lauten Strassenlärm hört.
Der Lüfter im Bad ratterte sehr laut und seine Nachlaufzeit nach Ausschalten des Lichts war sehr lange. Für ein Hotel in dieser Preisklasse hätte ich mehr Sorgfalt in der Wartung der Zimmer erwartet.

The room was very comfortable. Good shower and toiletries. Liked the tea cakes. Excellent breakfast, everything cooked perfectly. Staff all friendly.

Bellissima e tipica costruzione, con camere disposte in lunghi corridoi dall’arredo tipico. Camera ampia, su due ambienti, finestre di dimensioni generose. Bagno un po’ retrò, dotato sia di vasca da bagno che di doccia . Ottima prima colazione, soprattutto per il salato: la cucina prepara sul momento tutto i tipici piatti caldi del breakfast britannico. Anche sul “dolce” era abbastanza fornita. Carino ristorante e pub all’interno per gli ospiti. Posizione buona per procedere alla visita del centro. Anche i mezzi pubblici fermano nelle immediate vicinanze. Personale molto accogliente e gentile.
Il bagno ha avuto qualche problemino allo scarico del water. Piccolo il lavandino. Il posto per parcheggiare le moto era decisamente angusto da raggiungere, per via di un corridoio strettissimo, ma certamente molto sicuro proprio per questo.
Walking distance to the city. (About 10-15 minutes from the hotel) to Victoria Street.
No PowerPoints in the bathroom, only a shaver outlet.
