Please note that a pre-authorization of a credit or debit card will be required on arrival for all bookings, including pre-payment bookings. This is in order to open credit facilities with the hotel.
Dogs are welcome in Standard Rooms only (not permitted in Executive Rooms, Bridal Suites, or other suites). A £10.00 per dog, per night fee applies, and a £50.00 pre-authorization will be taken on arrival to cover potential damage. A maximum of 2 dogs per room is allowed.
Please note that the hotel is nonsmoking throughout.
Check in from 3pm onwards. Check out is 11.00am.
Breakfast is served 6.30am-9.30am Weekdays and 7am-10am Weekends & Bank Holidays. Hot food is served 12pm-2pm/6pm-9.30pm. Afternoon Tea is available every day 2pm-5pm. All tables for Meals must be pre-booked. This can be done by either calling us on 01522 878000 or via email [email protected]
We are operating a cashless system, Full VAT receipts can be emailed to you, if required.

Great position and safe parking

There was nothing
The staff were lovely - the reception team and the bar and serving staff were extremely helpful and very friendly.
The food was delicious every night and there was a great choice.
The lift was out of order but it was being fixed so it couldn't be helped. The communication between the staff was sometimes a little sporadic.
Room was quiet and large
Very sparse, we booked 3 nights as work was being carried out on our home (we live locally) it was finished early so we only stopped 2 nights.
No room cleaning available (we were offered a free drink instead)
Bit grubby
Kettle on a small flimsy shelf at an awkward height.
Staff not very attentive at reception (continued chatting with one another while we waited to be served)
Lift broken and according to the on-line notification, no immediate plans for when it might be working again.
Based on overall conditions at teh hotel we elected not to purchase the breakfast (which we considered quite expensive)
It had the feel of a hotel that is well past it's prime with no immediate plans for the future.....running it down for closure?
We did not have breakfast as we wanted to travel early. We did have meals in the bar, which we found excellent and really suitable for our needs. The room was good once we sorted out how to turn the heating on, it was a cold spell. The bar area suited for drinks and food, we did request the air con to be turned Down as it was blowing cols the staff did not problem, service was excellent. Car parking area is large and well light.
Heating in room could have been on before we arrived to make it more inviting. Lift has been out of action for a few months now, that is why we asked for ground floor which they did provide as my wife can not climb stairs.

No Elevator Working
Sloppy scrambled eggs (yellow and wet) which should be fluffy and light
Prices go up when they are busy.... unfair, but I understand the business MO.
Couldn't find the hair dryer as it was tucked up inside the desk, with the chair pushed in...there should be a sign saying where it is located !!
Stairs in the room. Dog room was plenty of space
Needs a dog area with dog poo bins outside available. could not use the spa facilities. Dog area need in restaurant

The food was ok
The lift was broken and had been for six weeks. The pool was closed . Thd large bed was small
