The breakfast is much improved from previous stays. They have microwavable quiche which is good, as well as waffles, scrambled eggs and potatoes. The pastries and fruit selections could be better.
The property is unique with fireplaces and in-room jacuzzi tubs. They also have a restaurant which is nice especially after a long drive.
They are pet friendly. My dog enjoyed the grounds.
The restaurant food was very average.
Restaurant including Brunch staff and front desk were engaging and attentive.
Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, great room
We had 2 sinks and we one kept clogging.
Great location right off I-5, yet feels secluded in the forest on the south side of Ashland. Beds were so comfortable after a long day’s drive.
The lodge exceeded our location. The rooms were large and the location to trails in the area (short drives) was great. The staff were excellent and made we had a great stay. And the restaurant had great food—we were expecting typical pub or lodge food, but their Italian pastas were excellent. Highly Recommend!
It is close to I-5 so you hear some road noise. But Callahan’s has created a sanctuary on their property that helps you not notice it.
Very friendly staff, amazing room and fantastic food! I only stayed overnight but would love to come back to spend a romantic weekend here with my wife!
No complaints. It was great.
I liked the location it was beautiful
The 18% gratuity to eat in our room because we had our dog and didn't want to leave them in room to go down to restaurant seemed a bit much and took away from what I would have left in room for housekeeping and staff. Also there was an insane humming in wall like water heater was right by our heads.
The only thing I liked is the location... I was going to ski to MT Ashland, other than that was not even able to get my room.
A different manager.. or someone that can solve problems and be respectul, not a manger that answers sarcastically and that cancelled my PAID reservation for over 2 months and that he overbooked. I have an email from booking saying that it was the hotel that cancelled my reservation and I have never had a problem with booking in the past 6 years, and this was my first time in this hotel and they cancelled my reservation meanwhile I was skiing..
The staff is friendly, the food is good. Sean in the bar and dining was fantastic!
We were in room 13. Beneath the dining room. Unacceptable noise levels. The young man on the front desk was unapologetic saying he had heard that before. Our card key envelope was labeled with a different room number that had been changed without explanation. We have stayed here multiple times, been very happy. This was the worst ever! The room should be converted to storage and never used again for guests. Additionally, house keeping left food in the freezer. Overall, not a good experience!
The beautiful historic hotel, ground, and location
We were on the ground floor, which was nice but it was NOISY, I think they put us in one of the worse rooms perhaps near the kitchen or laundry room. There was foot traffic above all night.
Loved the easy chaors on the room. Very comfortable!
Not much left of the main breakfast dishes when we went to eat at around 8:45 a.m.
The location of the Lodge was beautiful..beds were comfortable
The service at dinner was terrible.. we got our food way before our drinks.. I ordered a shrimp cocktail and it was put together sloppy..I had a hard time getting the waitress to come back so we could cash out..we were on the first floor and it smelled like sewage
Thank you for your friendliness and hospitality, it's a wonderful place to recharge!
Great little stay, the fire place and the in room hot tub mixed with the woods aesthetic was quite a vibe. I also like how each room has its own tree designation( mine was bristle cone pine).
I have been enjoying Callahan's as a staycation for the past decade. They have always had a wonderful staff, the rooms are cozy & comfortable.
Not all rooms have fire places. Boo!
