Wonderful welcoming from Tammy at the front desk at arrival, she was super pleasant and on day two extremely helpful with answering questions about the area.
housekeeping staff member Doma, does a great job and is very accommodating and kind!
Last night we attended a business dinner at Lueca the food and service were fantastic!
One Down fall no cushions on the chairs on our balcony.
Cleanliness of the hotel over all is very good.
Location
Cold sink faucet did not work upon arrival and it never got fixed
Amenities were good. It looks nice. Rooms are small but fine
Service and lack of being able to get into the buildng at 1am. Cannot get my deposit back after 3 months
Great location in Williamsburg close to dining and shopping. Great city views. Excellent onsite restaurant and bar. Comfortable room. Beautiful pool. Accommodating staff who helped me celebrate a milestone birthday.
Only one elevator working for guests. Some of the lights in my room did not work.
scent, cleanliness, quiet
1 elevator
The William Vale has excellent views. We loved having a patio. We had nice weather and used the pool, we had drinks by the pool and the staff was very nice. There was a big convention while we stayed and some of the restaurants were not open to dine in, we changed our plans and ate elsewhere. Also only one elevator was working and this caused some delays. I would still recommend someone to this property assuming the few flaws we ran into would be resolved.
For some reason the faucet in our room was extremely hard to use. I had to use a wash cloth to turn the water on. I did like that they had some shelving in bathroom , because there is very little counter space, hard to use when doing hair and makeup if you like to spread out. We did have cigarette buds on our balcony, they were there for 3 days and I think should have been swept up by house keeping.
Balcony was great, bathroom floors were great
Valet parking had me waiting... what? 30 minutes¡¡¡. yes the guy was so rude, i was late due to this to my apointment.
reception: they sold my room, but they upgraded it so 11/10..
elevator guy, he thought that im just a random NPC going to the rooftop... wrong, made me look like i dont deserve my own room.
Argentinean Bartender. (Can I get a Dirty Martiny?) .....NO. im not making anithing for you.... O.O¡ WTF.... is my money worth anything?.... Mexican bartender sees the attitude of the other guy, he inmediately offers me my drink, i gave him 30$ tip.
Morning breakfast, girl at the restaurant downstairs.... barely asking if i need water or silverwear WTF¡¡¡¡.
what kind of people do you hire to take care of your costumers?
DO I NEED A SUIT AND TIE TO GET ANY SERVICE AT YOUR HOTEL?
whats the problem with your personal.... i
Is it because im brown?, terrible experience....
We visited the William Vale in May 2026 for our daughter's graduation. We were originally put in a room right next to the elevator and we didn't think we could sleep because of the noise. Christian, the house keeping manager, worked with us to move to a different, much quieter room, and it made our stay so much nicer. He really went above and beyond because it was late in the day. Can't wait for our next stay!
Room with an awesome view of the river and Manhatten
We stayed two nights at The William Vale and had a wonderful experience overall.
One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was that they accommodate cats, and they were absolutely amazing with our pets. Finding a luxury hotel that genuinely welcomes cats can be difficult, so this was a huge plus for us and made the stay even more enjoyable.
First, the customer service was fantastic. Everyone was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
We stayed in Suite 1620, which features a wraparound balcony with breathtaking views stretching across Manhattan all the way to the Brooklyn Bridge. The views alone make this room worth considering.
The bathroom was another highlight. The large soaking tub and shower are positioned next to a window overlooking the city, creating a unique and relaxing experience, especially at night.
The room itself showed some signs of wear and tear, which suggests it gets a lot of use, but it was still comfortable and enjoyable.
A few tips for future guests:
* Request a fan if you prefer extra airflow while sleeping.
* Have the minibar fridge emptied if you plan to store your own drinks and want to avoid any accidental charges.
* Be aware that the bell staff must assist with luggage carts.
My only real criticism was the elevator situation. During our stay, only one guest elevator was available, while the others primarily served the rooftop bar. This resulted in long waits and crowded elevator rides, which became frustrating at times.
That said, the concierge team was exceptional. They handled a UPS delivery for us flawlessly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of.
Despite the elevator issues, the incredible views, outstanding service, and truly pet-friendly atmosphere made for a memorable stay. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone traveling with cats.
The location
Only one elevator was working, and then our bathroom a bunch of things were broken. Also beds were not comfortable
Not much
Old and poorly maintained. Elevators did not work properly and there were daily queues to get to your room! Cupboards broken and curtains did not close properly. Staff were indifferent
The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. Very nice to have personable people on arrival and throughout the stay. The room we were given was great, we had a view toward the Brooklyn Bridge. The balcony was nice to have, but it was still a bit chilly when we visited so didn't have a chance to enjoy sitting out on it.
The carpet in the hallways was a bit old and made it difficult to roll luggage through.
Hotel is beautiful and clean.
Service is either excellent or very average. Got looked down on at the rooftop restaurant. Was asked to prove I have a credit card, and when I told them I was a guest they acted all apologetic. I had excellent service from the waiter at Leuga during lunch on May 4th. Incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. I’m sorry I didn’t take his name :(
I was in a suite with wraparound balcony. The views were very beautiful but the room was a bit run down. Bathroom door handle was broken.
The biggest red flag to me is that they took a 1280$ CAD deposit on check in, then confirmed it was going to get released / refunded… Which it still hasn’t. They sent me a bill where I see it in the credit line, but there is no credit transaction. They keep arguing it’s on the bank side. But bear with me, they processed a 25$ refund a couple of days later and that showed within 2 days. It’s now been 15 days and I’ve yet to see my 1280$ charge reflected as a credit. I wrote to them and they maintain it will show up. Well, my credit card says I’m allowed to do a charge back in a couple of days so I guess if they wanna do it the hard way, I will proceed with that. Would be so much more simple to not keep the guests deposit hold for so long…
Location. Ubers available and quick
Room is dirty , toilet took 3 flushes to get just paper down , elevator cables ran all night and were loud and kept me awake and also sounded like chairs were being scraped across a wood floor .. nm that I had an amazing package delivered right to the desk and no one could ever retrieve it for me. It’s so far from 5 star hotel. They need a lesson in what true European 5 star hotels are like.
