Clean bedrooms and good breakfast, but a general deep clean of the public areas is urgently required

Cleanliness of interior.
Rooms were clean.
However the carpets and skirting boards are filthy in the general public areas, and need urgent attention.
The skirting boards on the landing as you come upstairs in the old part of the hotel, especially under the radiator is disgusting require a deep clean.
Also the carpet throughout needs replacing

Good hotel in a good location with great staff .
Pros:

Good location. Large carpark . Nice room . Hotel staff were great , friendly and efficient . Rooms clean and comfy beds . Breakfast was really nice as were the evening meals we ate in the bar. This is our third stay and it was great . Be back again 👍

A rather tired hotel.
Pros:

The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and plenty of food.

Do not stay here. The rooms all
Pros:

Nothing, we checked in on seeing the poor quality of the room we left and found alternative accommodation.

Cons:

It was tired, smelt damp. The room had mould around the windows. The room smelt damp. The bathroom was dirty especially the shower head. My partner got bitten in the room. Even though we were in there less than 10mins.

This is our second stay here as it is a good place to stay for Forest Live Concert in Thetford.

Cons:

The church bells on the hour may annoy some people. I thought they were great.

The hotel is very tired and looks as if it is in need of some TLC.
Pros:

The room was large and airy. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good choice. The majority of the staff were lovely.

Cons:

Our room was refurbed a few years ago. The bed was not comfortable at all. The shower itself was good but the shower cubicle left a bit to be desired. It seemed to have been designed poorly - the shower should have been put on the opposite wall. Having the sliding door by the shower controls was not ideal for getting in and out.
The sink taps come out of the wall directly, and had jagged tiles, which could have easily have been tidied up with a bit of grout.
The first day the bed wasn't made, the quilt was just pulled up over the crumpled sheets. The cups weren't washed and put back on the tray.
the second day, the bed was made properly but the bins weren't emptied!
