Good facility but odd decor
Pros:

Comfortable room and up to date facilities. Breakfast was good. Plenty of helpful staff.

Cons:

Evening food in restaurant was 'average' and not very appetizing.
Hotel Decor was a strange mix - I'ts a tudor building maybe less purple lighting would benefit?

Expensive stay didn’t live up to expectations
Pros:

Evening meal was nice
Restaurant staff attentive and helpful

Cons:

Check in was frustrating as needed to download an app to access room - we eventually got a key card
Bar area ok apart from very slippery floor which we saw a number of people slip on!
Breakfast was standard - dry fried eggs and little vegetarian choices

Ignore the multiple signs about parking in the car park and wait to check in as parking is free if you type your details into the terminal by reception

An attractive, relaxing hotel with comfortable rooms and amenities
Pros:

Donnington Manor is a very pleasant Hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, with A.C. surprisingly, plenty of storage and all the little touches (bottled water, tissues, sewing kit, safe etc) that are lacking in a lot of hotels.
The dining room was attractive and breakfast and dinner well cooked.

Cons:

We found the hotel very pleasant, but the hotel bar was a little cold in temperature, cheerless and bland and on both stays very few people seemed to linger.
