A gorgeous hotel in the heart of York close to many ideal locations.
Pros:

The location is ideal. Can’t beat the wake up call of the beautiful minster bells. Our room was beautiful and the air con and fan were a great addition! The staff were friendly and the food was lovely. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent value for money
Pros:

Absolutely fantastic location across from the minster. We were upgraded as soon as we arrived, with a view of the york minster. Staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious 😋
The room was spacious and very clean, shower head could do with an upgrade but other than that, I will not stay anywhere else in York now, as found it excellent value for money

For the price £200 it was a small room with no air con just a fan that did nothing so did not sleep much as it was so hot the bed was not the comfiest also the breakfast was small one piece of each bacon sausage egg beans black pudding

Great location and staff, beautiful historic building, my room needed a re-do
Pros:

The staff were terrific, friendly and helpful. The location could not be better, near the most beauty sights in York and still quiet and peaceful. The restaurant/bar had a nice selection and everything I had was tasty.

Cons:

My room had no AC and it was a heatwave. They had provided a fan but it was a bit of a hot box making it hard to sleep. The decor was dated and drab and needed a refresh.

Super Stay, fabulous food & lovable luxury at the Dean Court Hotel.
Pros:

Everything at this hotel was wonderful, from the friendly & helpful staff to the central location, (opposite York Minster) super handy car parking service, gorgeous rooms & fabulous breakfast! It was a wonderful way to celebrate my mums 70th birthday. She had a wonderful time and didn’t want to leave!

We particularly enjoyed listening to all the church Bells this morning, (Sunday) the view of the Minster at breakfast. Plus, The bathroom in our room was huge and gorgeously decorated and the wonderful Northern Irish chap on the front door was super friendly and welcoming, THANK YOU. 🙏

Cons:

Due to the unusually hot temperatures our room was super hot all evening, despite having the windows open at times. We did have a large fan in the room, which we were grateful for, but it didn’t seem to perform as well as the one in my daughters’ room. (They actually had two fans) Their room seemed reasonably cool. This lead to a very uncomfortable and sticky night for us, but not really anything that the hotel could do - it was just the extreme weather really.

Pros:

We've stayed in the Dean Court many times and, as always, enjoyed our stay. The location is incomparable and the hotel itself is comfortable and well furnished. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Cons:

A small point but, the room we were given this time was a good bit smaller than ones we've been given in the past. It was an attic room and the sloping ceiling made it feel a bit cramped.

Pros:

The closeness to everything. Staff very helpful. Lovely to have the car parked for us and have it brought back when we were leaving. The extra fan duri g the extremely hot weather was great, and made the nights more comfortable.

Great stay
Pros:

Staff were friendly and helpful. We were given twin beds in a family room, it was a large ,well decorated , clean room. We stayed during a heatwave , and the fan kept the room cool.
Cooked breakfast was fresh and cooked well.
The hotel is postioned in the heart of the historic part of York and right next to the Cathedral
