It's quite noisy and the bathroom was very dirty.
I understand it's only a 2 star but being clean and very poor upkeep isn't a good look.
Or room was upgraded by the hotel manager to a very comfortable ground floor one that was large and easy for us to get the dogs out. We had a wonderful dinner outside in the garden.
A sofa or comfy chair in the room would have been nice.
Nothing
There was a noise coming from the water pump in the Cunard every 60 seconds
So need less to say we got no sleep at all
As there was no one on site to report it to and hopefully get another room we had to put up with the noise
In the morning as we weee checking out I
I let the first person that I saw which was the chief
He was very concerned when I let him hear the recording
So he let me into the bar area to speak to the manager
I said that there was a noise every 60
And she asked if we were in from ni 5 I I said yes , so you know about the noise , she reply yes
I asked how can you book people into this room knowing that noise was happening
She reply it’s the only family room they have as it was 3 of they had to put us in that room as there nothing she can do
I told her can stop booking people in that room
As it was not fair as we book the room to get a night sleep and we got no sleep
He attitude was nothing I can do
I said to
Location is handy for the railway station, check in was friendly and helpful. Nice fluffy white towels and white clean bedding. Clean bathroom with bright lighting.
The area downstairs had an awful stale smell and my room also smelled repulsive even with the window open, the heavy atmosphere in room 14 left me with a headache, and tight chest. The room was very small not much bigger than a broom cupboard. The ensuite bathroom was tiny, fitted with a cloakroom sink, which was difficult to wash in..For what I paid £60 for 1 night of not being able to sleep much due to the smell and the poor quality mattress, with its concave discomfort, springs going into your back wherever you moved to. I tried to sleep best way I could with the pillows under my back. The car park was not well lit, making me feel vulnerable to pack and leave in the night. Otherwise i would have driven home in the night for sure.I couldn't get comfy on that mattress even though I tried it was appalling. I checked out early morning, what a relief to be away from that awful atmosphere, get home and get some sleep. For anyone with any allergies in that place, it would definitely trigger them, because it made me feel short of breath.
Very good Dinner.
The worst bed we have ever slept in - jangling springs, completely shot.
No fan on a very warm night. Hotel does not have enough fans for all rooms.
Personal very friendly and nice.
From the very entrance the dirty and smelly carpet is terrifying. Very old interior. The room, .. moving floor, terrible mattress. In the bathroom, the floor is also moving, the toilet flapper fell off, the tap is leaking, ..unpleasant smell of dirty carpets.
Perfect for our visit .
