The team is fantastic
The room was lovely
The woman on reception was unfriendly.
I was asked to pay additionally for cappuccino at breakfast which is unreasonable given the price of the room
Great location within walking distance of the village
Aimee the lady who originally spoke to us when we phoned was absolutely lovely
It didn’t have air con
The view from Room 5 was awful but as we were only there for one night it wasn’t important to us.
The windows were open in the bedroom as it was warm but the sills and surroundings around the window were rather dirty.
Location was easy to find. Nice property. The staff was really good and helpful. Room was clean and available earlier than expected. There was a fan provided in the room as the weather was warm and there is no air conditioning
The power sockets in the room were oddly placed. The ones at the work table were so low that you could not plug in any device without acutely kinking the cable.
For the breakfast I wanted vegetarian breakfast without vegan sausages. I wanted the omelette instead of sausages. It eventually arrived but with vegan sausages minus hash brown. I think the lady could be more attentive as there was only one more couple who had already been served
The receptionist was exceptionally helpful and polite.
She carries herself with grace and respect towards all,she served the last customer as the first.
She was professional and yet caring and compassionate, I couldn't have asked for a better service.
At the bar the young men too, were great by practicing gentility towards customers, being cautious, respectful and yet professional. One of them rectified his mistake promptly and swiftly and yet apologetically that exceeded my perception hard to come by now a days. He was excellent.
Position perfect, great room massive bed wonderful staff, good breakfast.
Dinner in restaurant was average at best , bathroom had overpowering smell of bleach and tv did not work.
None of the Windows in our bedroom could open on arrival. One window had a broken pane of glass crack inside it.
Shower hose was split
Water waste blocked & slowly over spilt from Shower tray.
Spent almost an hour trying to open one of the windows.
Fans were all dusty
Not helpful when we had an infant staying with us.
I reported to the reception Saturday afternoon, evening and on check out. Nothing was done correct situation. Nor was there any suggestion from the hotel staff in providing a partial refund for the inconvenience.
Lovely breakfast

Oh how times change.
Firstly it is a nice hotel and the food was nice.
However it’s not what it used to be.
35 yrs ago yesterday we had our wedding at this hotel so we always go back on every big anniversary to celebrate. I was so disappointed this year.
I phoned to book and explained the circumstances and I didn’t get a single ‘ oh congratulations or even a ‘ oh that’s nice ‘ . Then when we arrived I was really disappointed to find there is no fine dining anymore which I was really looking forward to. Again my sister ordered Champagne to be put on ice when they arrived and explained why and again no enthusiasm for the occasion by the waitresses.
The menu was limited and I really wasn’t feeling a burger or fish and chips but managed a steak which was good, I admit.
It’s just such a shame that all the staff nowadays are young kids who have no idea about making people or events feel special. We might aswell have been at any other restaurant anywhere in the village. We used to be made to feel special but def not now.
Will we be back for our 40 th wedding anniversary ? Definitely not. Times have changed but not always for the good. Will prob go to San Carlo next time, whilst Italian, at least they have staff that know what the service industry is about.
Sad times.
Unsere Zimmer mit der Verbindungstür fanden wir sehr praktisch und schön. Das Essen war auch sehr gut.
Die Tische im Restaurant waren nicht sauber geputzt, es klebten die Gläser am Tisch.
Good location - clean well presented. Nice staff
It was one of hottest days/nights and our room was at very top of hotel. It only had small windows that didn’t open fully and there was only a small fan that didn’t work properly to help cool room. It was a little uncomfortable but room was clean and comfortable bed.
