Great for family with young kids, as the room is very big, so kids can run around.

The room is very spacious, and the staff is super friendly.

Cons:

A bit outdated. The outside of the building needs lots of work to preserve its ancient look. It's very pity... otherwise, we love it so much.

1. 看起來應該是被安排在無障礙房，所以沒有浴缸
2. 水壓弱
3. 晚上八點過後開始飄入煙味，反應後有提供空氣清淨機，但幫助有限
4. 插座都很鬆或是很難插
5. 入住時電視盒無法開啟，服務人員幫助後，重啟數次才成功，耗費有點久

Wonderful but needs help
Pros:

This is such a wonderful iconic hotel that nothing else matters. Built to impress it does. However, it has not been maintained. The wonderful garden is unkempt, the breakfast needs to smartened and better quality food, the reception desk needs tidying, the plastic flowers (seriously) replaced with real foliage and the dazzling historic facade maintained. The bathroom has been modernized so is very new-looking but unfortunately not in keeping with the period of the hotel. Isn't there a heritage society that overlooks cultural heritage renovations?
The hotel is clean, beds comfortable and the room and balcony wonderful. There is a lovely walk behind the hotel across a long timber bridge through tropical growth that takes you to a lake. Dont miss that.
Is is still worth a stay despite being slightly away from the main sights. It would be a real tragedy for Taiwan if the owners let this historic hotel go to ruins.

Cons:

That the hotel has not being maintained and the facade allowed to fade. Not valuing and preserving a cultural icon.
Bathroom update not in keeping with the era of the hotel.

Pros:

位置在澄清湖旁，視野佳，方便園區散步。外觀設計雄偉漂亮，房間寬敞，浴室有乾濕分離也有浴缸。早餐豐富令人滿意，吃完午餐可以直接省下來。

Cons:

泳池已維修好，試營運中，可是未通知房客，致使我們未帶泳裝入住。當天給我們的是木門連通的兩間房，木門竟然有破損。浴室可能因為要保留浴缸，淋浴間空間很小，而且馬桶還故障，有請房務人員上來修理。冰箱內的飲料要收費，連礦泉水都要收錢，有點誇張！之前入住台北圓山，有迎賓水果和點心，相較之下，高雄圓山真的很小器，房價也沒有比較便宜！

雖然設備都老舊（好在衛浴除外），但是空間寬敞、住的還算舒適
Pros:

非常滿意的地方是：房務部職員還有實習生跟著學，而且蠻謹慎確定我們是這個房間的房客，這點安全性是很令我滿意的。房間一大早就整理很乾淨。

Cons:

1）早餐的菜色可以精緻一點，台北圓山的比較好
2）淋浴間的弧形門太難拉了，常常軌道出軌
3）雙人床，因為是標準床，先生比較高大睡的就比較擠
