Clean comfortable accommodation in good location for visiting the sculpture park and Hepworth museum. Free parking and good value.
It suited our purpose very well although we had to eat both nights in the same pub as the other one stopped serving at 7pm.

The staff
The rooms. Shabby. Basic. Poor.
Our second stay at this hotel, spotlessly clean, comfy beds, the staff are lovely really helpful. On the second night we asked for a fan, iron and ironing board a staff member brought them within minutes. Love that unlike other hotels the window opens.The hotel is in a good location close to motorway, Barnsley, Wakefield and Sheffield. The bus to Barnsley and Wakefield stops right outside.
We arrived at the hotel on Sunday night, we travelled on 2 trains and taxi so very tired. Disappointed to find the hotel doesn't do food on Sunday's we could have walked to a pub or restaurant but as I say we were tired so in the end we just had snacks.
Clean rooms and friendly staff
Nice clean and lovely area
The staff were so helpful and considerate. Asked for room near reception as mum cant walk far and we had a great room with accessible bathroom. Receptionist was particularly helpful- gave ideas on what to do and places to eat close by. Bedding was lovely and very clean.
Room is a little dated but served our purpose perfectly
Easy to find. Lovely quiet part of town. Building a bit tired by perfectly clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Good value for money.

Hotel was clean. Very friendly staff lady on reception was lovely we had breakfast which such good value at £10 per person. Hotel also good location nice walk to a number nice pubs & lovely Italian restaurant.
Had really good stay but only thing was no view from windows but roof
The room was clean. Water pressure was not sufficient in the suite. The breakfast was cold, including the bacon. I preferred the former layout with seating areas in reception rather than the new addition of the pool table. The hotel needs to offer food outside of breakfast, particularly for guests arriving in the evening.

Nice and friendly Staff. Smooth check in, lovely breakfast, comfortable bed, clean rooms ample parking. Great outdoor area to sit have a drink and smoke too. What more can you ask for when you require a night on the road. Will definitely be back there occasion permitting. Thanks to all the staff.

Friendly and helpful staff. Everything was clean and having a bar and restaurant onsite was useful if you want to stay in. Lots of beautiful walks and places to eat within walking distance, ideal for a short break..
