Pros:

The room was very dated, had a loft hatch in the ceiling, looked more modern in the photos.

Staff members were great and it was comfortable

Cons:

I didn’t like that I couldn’t change my breakfast which had been paid for towards my tea as I had missed it due to unforeseen circumstances… not that I couldn’t be bothered to go for breakfast

A great location for visiting the various West Yorkshire galleries
Pros:

Location. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Breakfast was a bit disappointing on weekdays. The timing of 7-9am may suit those using the hotel for work but was a bit limiting for those on holiday.

Excellent value for money
Pros:

The hotel is in a good location not far from the motorway Barnsley ,
Wakefield and Newmillerdam there is a bus stop right outside. Our room was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfy we had plenty of tea and coffee, the staff friendly snd helpful. We had a bar meal on the second night which was reasonably priced and very nice. Another plus was unlike many hotels the windows open which meant we could get fresh air.

Cons:

The cold tap on the bath didn't work and the shower head spurted water everywhere. This didn't spoil our stay and we'll definitely re book

Nice stay and good location and the reception staff are lovely
Pros:

The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming
The room was a bit basic ,bathroom was a bit tied , taps hard to turn , bath panel was loose . It was clean and the shower was hot. Bedding and towels clean ..there was a couple of cobwebs in the room but it still felt clean .. I would go back

Cons:

It would have been nice to have some pictures on the wall .
Food was a bit slow in coming in the restaurant but it tasted ok when it arrived .
