Pleasant hotel with good spa facilities
Pros:

Great location for what we needed. Spa and pool facilities were great and grounds are beautiful.Rooms are clean and well appointed with very comfy beds and linens. Staff are very friendly and helpful with a good approach to customer service.

Cons:

A fan provided as no air con - this was much needed. Rooms lack ‘little extras’ such as biscuits with the tea tray which I’d expect given the price paid. Breakfast was very busy with items not available and guests waiting to be seated -the staff did their best to keep up with demand and were working very hard but overall breakfast didn’t quite meet expectations

Pleasant overnight stay.
Pros:

Ideally situated for visiting Louth. Lovely surroundings and grounds.

Cons:

Stayed there twice and fire alarm has gone off on both occasions. False alarm on each occasion.

Fire alarm nightmare!
Pros:

Exceptional food
Attentive hospitality staff

Cons:

Fire alarm sounding in the night every minute for six seconds for over an hour! When I called reception to mention the alarm had cut my air con in a very hot stifling room, she put the phone down on me. When I raised my complaint in the morning I was asked to send an email. Such a disappointment for a one night stay when I asked for a quiet room.

OK but not as good as with previous owners
Cons:

No biscuits in room until we complained
We felt unsafe in the large shower cubicle so they provided anti-slip rubber mats on the floor. But it still needed a 'grab handle' on the wall for safety.
