Well past it’s prime.
Pros:

A grand old building in beautiful surroundings, sadly the inside doesn’t do this beautiful building justice. Very tired decor in most areas, mismatched worn carpets throughout. The curtains in my room didn’t come remotely near fitting the window so light streamed in from sunrise. Very uncomfortable bed consisting of two singles pushed together and a sprung mattress that was very past it’s best, harsh lighting. The food was not great quality with a raw burger served up, which to be fair was taken back and dealt with quickly (Not just rare but raw and cold). I am afraid to say that Best Western have seen the last of me, never had a good experience with them.

It was a really lovely stay, beautiful place, lovely surroundings.
Pros:

The location was great, but you really need a car to get around. We drove to Bath and parked our car in the park and ride, so the parking is free and you just pay for the bus. There was a lovely pub just at the end of the street that you could walk to that was really lovely. Very lovely place to stay.
