A good nights sleep in a good location. Staff are friendly and very helpful.
Several public areas of the hotel are tired/worn out and need of updating. Breakfast was adequate!
Staff very polite and helpful.
Location and parking were excellent.
No lift - room on 3rd floor, with a heavy case to carry.
Single room very small and cramped and claustrophobic with very small window.
Accommodation for single travellers should be improved
Toilet and shower had been cleaned well and the bedding was clean.
However the room seemed grubby and tired - carpet and floor covering in the ensuite needed a good clean and the furniture was in need of an upgrade.
Bed was comfortable.
Staff were polite and helpful.
Location and hotel parking were very good.
Good location, room with a bath.
Chaotic checking in process as if it was a surprise I had arrived.
Great location
Great staff
Very clean
Would have been good to have breakfast included in the price
The Kings Head Hotel is a superbly-located, character hotel with good facilities and private parking. The room and bathroom were a good size. There were some lovely touches such as a vintage DAB radio on a bedside cabinet which was playing softly on our arrival.
On the second morning, we were told it was possible to take one's continental breakfast out onto the pavement decking, which sounded great. The waitress said she'd bring our coffee out to us which sounded even better. However, she brought us a cafetiere with coffee and nothing else. This meant my husband had to pilfer cups, saucers, teaspoons and sugar from one of the inside tables for us to drink it. If the staff offer to bring drinks out to the decking, they should bring everything that needs to go with them.
Staff were much more welcoming than I've experienced in recent years. Maybe a change of staff or management, but everyone greeted us with a smile and with courtesy. It made a real difference to the stay! Please do keep it up!
Nothing at all.
Hotel staff were excellent, especially Amy e who made me a cracking sandwich after the kitchen closed
We had to park in the long stay car park which was a fair walk away , as there were no spaces in front of the hotel. That said it was only £6.50 for 24hrs.
I think this needs explaing better on the advert as it gives the wrong impression.
The location was nice & the building was dated but impressive
Nothing
Breakfast was very good. Good choice to pick from.
Location of hotel was excellent with shops and cafes very close to it.
Unfortunately bed was too soft for me.
Its location , right in the heart of Richmond with so many shops / bars / cafes etc literally on your doorstep
We thought it was a little expensive to stay , makes you wonder how people can afford to stay in this country. We stayed in a deluxe double with breakfast for £351 ? So basically £175 per night. And the bar drinks were very expensive too
Central location on the square
Not really anything
The hotel is in an excellent location. The room was spacious and comfortable. Food was delicious and portion sizes were very good. The staff were friendly and efficient.
The stairs were the only issue. Carrying two heavy suitcases up two flights of stairs was an onerous task.
Great food
