A great place to stay

Pros:

Really friendly members of staff right from checkin to the bar and restaurant and breakfast in the morning.
We ate in the restaurant on our arrival and the food and service were excellent. The hotel room was comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, a comfy bed, and decent towels that actually wrap around you after the shower. Breakfast was really good . There was nothing not to like, we used it as a stopover on our way to Scotland and we were pleased we chose to stay at this hotel and would recommend it.

Cons:

There was Notton dislike.

Lovely Hotel in great Location
Pros:

The hotel gave us a free upgrade to a Superior super king, front facing room. Lovely decoration, spotless and spacious. Bed was also very comfertable. Lovely, friendly staff and hotel overall was very well maintained. Free Parking also a great bonus

Cons:

We had dinner in the restaurant during a previous stay and the food was very good. This time I had what was described as crispy chicken noodles. While the chicken was nicely cooked, the noodles were very overcooked and just a pile of stog. Maybe the chef had an off day, as I had the dish during a previous stay and it was delicious 🤷‍♀️

OK for one night but I don’t think I will go again.
Pros:

Quite central so easy to wander round the shops. The food was good in the restaurant although it was only served until 8pm. The staff were friendly.

Cons:

The car park was a bit far away for getting the luggage to the hotel but it was good not having to use a public car park. There was a problem with the central heating in the part of the hotel we were in but the staff did manage to resolve it. There was no lift.

Comfortable in a good central location.
Pros:

Everything was great. The staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Despite overlooking the road at the front of the hotel the room was surprisingly quiet & peaceful. The location is central with only a minute or two s walk to shops, pubs & restaurants.

Cons:

£3.55 for a glass of lemonade from the tap!

Lovely place.
Pros:

Tried to call the hotel a number of times regarding parking to no avail, luckily a local chap helped us.

Other than that absolutely perfect. Room was lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The food in the restaurant was lovely too and the staff were very attentive. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and again staff couldn’t do enough for us. We plan on being Penrith way a lot more in the next year and hope to book here everytime!
