Pros:

The hotel was beautiful in a lovely location. The food was fantastic and the service spectacular. Everyone made you feel at home yet it was still a luxury experience. Bravo to the staff and owners for putting such a great travel experience together.

Excellent facilities and a luxurious rest for us walking the Cumbria Way.
Pros:

Staff were friendly and helpful- without being obtrusive
The room was extremely comfortable
The evening meal and breakfast were excellent. So nice to relax here after our day in torrential rain!

It had a lovely atmosphere and the decor was fresh and appealing

Cons:

We don’t usually eat two courses at Dinner and not having that choice was a bit frustrating. £30 dog charge was quite steep!

Pros:

Beautiful decor. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were lovely. Appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee. Drying room was a godsend given the weather

Wunderbarer Aufenhalt, man fühlt sich auch als Wanderer absolut willkommen!

Sehr schöne, authentische Unterkunft, sehr nettes Personal und wunderbares, schön angerichtetes und feines Abendessen. Auch Frühstück sehr leckeres mit frischen Zutaten.
