Great Location and Value For Clean, Accessable STAY
Pros:

- The location was fantastic - right in the middle of La Jolla within walking distance of shops, restaurants, etc. Also within a 10 minute drive to different beaches.
- The room was spotless and well updated. The beds were pretty comfortable.
- The room.we stayed in (3 beds) was very spacious, with room for an additional air mattress in the room with the twin beds.
- Elevator access for luggage was much appreciated, no lugging stuff up multiple flights of stairs.
- The value for the location is pretty fantastic.

Cons:

- Nitpicky, but parking was a challenge. On two of the nights we had to park on the street up the block from the hotel.
- If you can help it, stay on the top floor.. Not sure if it was the guests above us or the cleaning staff but from 7am until about 9am on two of the mornings it sounded like people were wrestling and dropping weights on the ground on purpose. Major headache both days.

Love this hotel
Pros:

Loved the room overall! Great lighting, comfortable bed, close to good food and great sights.

Cons:

Internet was spotty at times. Wouldn't stop me from staying here though.

Not a relaxing stay - I left in the middle of the night.
Pros:

I only like the location and staff. The room was clean and the varanda was a bonus, we enjoy to seat outside. The Hotel location in La Jolla is close to Pacific Beach and Oceanside, which were the two places we planned to visit.

Cons:

The air conditioner was garbage. I felt extremely uncomfortable because the A/C didn't cool the room. The beds are too soft. The bathroom door was heavy and difficult to close and open. We had to shower (the whole family) with the door partially open- this was terrible! The mini fridge has a bright blue light that illuminate the entire bedroom at night. The walls are paper thin, we heard the up-stairs guests walking, opening and closing the screened doors, and flushing the toilet in the middle of the night. My GOD, we can heard all toilets of the building being flushed all night long. This was NOT a relaxing stay. This was NOT what I expected. I can't give this hotel a good rating or recommend it to anyone. I am sorry.

Nettes Hotel mit gutem Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis
Pros:

Geräumige, saubere Zimmer. Nettes Personal, Parkplatz direkt am Haus, viele Restaurants in der Umgebung, nahe dem Meer

Cons:

Ein bisschen Motel-artig mit dem Zugang von außen zu den Zimmern

The Middle of Paradise!
Pros:

Third time at the Sands of La Jolla! They have maintained the resort very well. The staff is wonderful and we love the proximity to the sunset, shops and restaurants!

Cons:

When we arrived, the telephone and television were not working. Excellent maintenance team member assisted.
