Ok but nothing exceptional.
Pros:

Near town. Bedroom clean and bed comfortable.

Cons:

Having to pay extra £20 to get a walki- in shower. I consider that discrimination against disabled people.

Location /staff great. I dreaded my room at end of day, it was too hot, stuffy. Good value though
Pros:

I liked the location, the staff were great

Cons:

Airconditioning, or the ability to open a window properly. The room was uncomfortably hot. The mattress has seen better days.
The breakfast was a disappointment. Not a huge variety on offer and I don't think I've ever tasted such disgusting tattie scones.

Good value for money budget hotel, excellent service good food!
Pros:

The staff were excellent both in reception, bar and restaurant. The food was also very good and very reasonably priced. Overall the hotel was clean and presentable and for the cost offered a good value stay.

Cons:

The room was a little small but ok for a short stay, unfortunately I found it to be very warm and the fan available was very poor, noisy and offered little comfort even with the window being open! Toilet role was not replenished. Could provide better pillows as these were flat and hard. The fire alarm went off late evening which I appreciate is not the hotels fault however the staff on at that time struggled to sort the issue with the alarm system so maybe better staff training in this situation? We had no member of staff come to the car park where guest accumulated to discuss what the issue was, if it was a fire or false alarm. After 10-15 minutes or so it became evident it was likely a false alarm but no one advised until we were advised another member of staff was on their way to sort the alarm system out.
The lounge area could really do with comfortable seating, my parents struggled with the high seating and they were not very comfortable for relaxing with a drink.

Pros:

I've stayed at the Park Hotel previously a few times either for passing through or visiting family in the area. It is well located, staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are tired but comfortable, if not a little small (well the ones I've been in). I did have an issue with the shower which was incredibly powerful (no judgement) so hadn't realised it was blasting past the shower curtain, so I flooded the bathroom. Rather embarrassed and sorry, I did admit to the staff on exit.

You get what you pay for
Pros:

Check in, staff friendliness

Cons:

The toilet in our room had not been cleaned, there was poo stains all around the bowl.
We did not eat breakfast, especially seeing how the scrambled eggs were poured from a bucket into the buffet tray. That's disgusting.
We requested a packed breakfast on the day we were leaving, nothing was done, instead we had cereal.

Pros:

Nice hotel in a good location with plenty of parking. Room was a bit dated, especially the bathroom, but it was comfortable enough. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was good. Overall it was good value and an ideal base for visiting the local attractions.

Cons:

Nothing to complain about.

Fact we were charged for 2rooms but i only booked 1 room and room was a small double and am still waiting on my refund for room from booking.com .
