Perfect wedding venue

I loved the upstairs bathroom, it was luxurious and private.... all facilities required were above expectations.
The 2 sandwiches my partner & i ordered were £18.95, I found this extortionate for the quantity I received.
Hotel full of character. Room very comfortable
The shower was somewhat difficult to get a balanced temperature.
The area designated residents lounge was deserted, and did not have comfortable seating.
Spaciousness.
Food and restaurant
Charming if a little quirky but in a good way.
We stayed overnight whilst heading north and it was a very pleasant and relaxing pitstop.
The staff were friendly and the evening meal and breakfast in the adjoining pub were amazing.
The location was beautiful in rolling Yorkshire countryside.
The staff were very accommodating with my luggage on arrival as there is no lift. On leaving a member of staff came to take my luggage directly to my car within 5 minutes of calling reception with the request.
The evening meal was too large for me but delicious. The breakfast menu covered every appetite and the young man in charge of the breakfast service was polite, smartly dressed and I enjoyed my conversation with him. Son of the owners, he will go far.

My wife and I are drawing to the end of a four night stay at this excellent hotel.
We stayed in one of their splendid suites .. they are spacious, very comfortable with all the facilities needed for an enjoyable stay.
The hotel staff are welcoming, friendly and often go out of their way to be helpful. In particular Logan, Katrina, Joe and Lisa are very welcoming and a credit to the hotel.
The food, breakfast and evening, is exceptionally good .. offering a wide variety of choice well cooked and presented.
Altogether an enjoyable stay and thoroughly recommended.
A characterful hotel with a nice pub restaurant and friendly and efficient staff
Nothing to dislike. The location is a little remote, but fine if that is where you want to be.
Not a lot
The bed. Being woken up at 6.00 with constant banging. The supper was inedible.
Staff very pleasant and helpful
Great historical property in a location I know well.had food on prior visits and always first class
