Excellent and comfortable stay.
Pros:

Excellent. We were comfortable. We had complementary biscuits and breakfast was excellent. The welcome and professional way we were treated was notable.

Concierge very professional

Cons:

I would like to add that for 3 we were provided only with one water for the kettle for 2 days.

On the last day yesterday the room was checked in the afternoon and we were provided water for all 3 and even some sweets. Thank you for this. It was very nice to see our room as it was. We paid considerable money for 3 nights.

Pros:

Cleanliness and the proximity to train station. Amazing breakfast varieties and the staffs professionalism. The room was really comfortable.

Cons:

It is quite far away from the historical center destinations, but not a big deal. The train stations are nearby.

Close to Termini Station
Pros:

Overall we had a lovely experience staying at this hotel. The hotel is located just a 3-4 minutes walk from Termini station and from the entrance to the A/B metro line entrance. Check-in was quick and the woman was very courteous. The rooms are very large and modern. We had a lovely view of Palazzo Cinquecento. The room was absolutely spotless. Overall we would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Convenient location for 4-nights in Rome!
Pros:

We ecently completed a 4-night stay at the NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento, in 2 rooms with my partner and his 14-year old daughter. We were placed at this hotel due to the delayed opening of the Hyatt Regency Rome Central, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome.

The hotel automatically assigned us to adjacent rooms, no request needed! The rooms were clean, comfortable and were nicely appointed. Our 1st floor rooms (considered 2nd floor in the US) had wonderful water pressure, which was appreciated since we were taking several showers a day to combat the hot Roman summer weather. The air conditioning was top tier for our American needs as well! Our standard rooms were on the small side, but that is to be expected and was not a problem at all.

We had daily breakfast as they honored my Hyatt Globalist status and it was definitely a great way to start our day. Lots of great options to get us energized for the day. We did opt to walk to some pastry shops nearby as we did want to try some of the local pastries - and they did not disappoint!

The location worked well for us - it was like a 2 minute walk to Rome Termini, so that simplified our transport from the airport, and for a day trip that we took to Naples. Yes, as in any large city near the main transportation hub, there are some areas that are not as clean, however the pros far outweighed the cons. We easily walked to/from Monti, the historic center, and other great neighborhoods that we wanted to spend time in, and we never felt unsafe or uncomfortable.

Beautiful, friendly and fantastic
Pros:

I will be using fantastic, amazing and perfect a lot in this review, I don’t apologise for that as it’s rightly deserved!
Located 2 minutes from Termini Station its location makes it easy for any taxis and is so convenient.
The hotel itself is immaculate, when originally booking we wanted to stay in a hotel that wasn’t a “standardised” building that could be dropped into any city, we wanted to stay in a beautiful Italian hotel- this is it!
The room was perfect, it had everything we wanted, the bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies.
We booked a week and I believe you get what you pay for, so I was surprised and delighted with what we got. You can book a beautiful hotel but it will fall flat without perfect staff and again we were never left disappointed. I’d like to give a special reference to 5 people who really made our trip fantastic:
Starting with the cleaning staff as I don’t believe they get enough credit - Lucia is incredible! I had to stop her from running to get what I asked for every time we spoke! We had signed on to not to have our room cleaned everyday so it was only if we wanted something that we would go ask and Lucia would go off at a sprint!
Next Samantha who ran the bar and restaurant. When we first arrived we were a little lost and I’m sure Samantha saw that. She really put us both at ease with her friendly and professional manner. When we were unsure she gave sound advice and the food and service was fantastic!
The front of the house staff - we were initially met by Daniele who booked us in. After a standard description of the facilities he then took extra time and effort explaining points of interest to visit and how to get there - he was brilliant! After we had settled in and had a few days of stumbling around the city in awe like the tourists we are we were always met at the front of the hotel by Buba. He is so friendly and helpful I really can’t put into words how much he made our stay. Rome is amazing and daunting in equal measure (so much to do and see). Buba was the perfect one to help us set off in the morning and calm me down on returning after a very hot and tiring day.
Finally Febronia, she works the front desk and also the rooftop bar and restaurant. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary on the second day of our stay and we ate at the rooftop restaurant. The food was gorgeous and Febronia looked after us throughout that amazing meal. The next day I wanted to settle the bill for the meal and her advice was again perfect! Every single time my wife and I then walked past she would greet us with a wave and a smile.
In summary I think anyone wanting an amazing experience in Rome needs a base to fall back to after a day of fantastic memories that does the city justice. Palazzo Cinquecento is exactly the place you want. My wife and I will no doubt be back and we won’t book anywhere else but Palazzo Cinquecento to stay. Thank you to all the staff (not just the ones I mentioned), you all really made our anniversary a special and memorable time away from home!

Great time on the roof!
Pros:

My colleagues and I enjoyed exceptional service at the roof top bar. Bar manager Samanta and her staff were amazing. Delicious drinks and generous appetizers. We had so much fun, we returned for a night cap after dinner. Lucky for us, the same staff was still on duty! Thank you all! ( Visited July 27, 2026 )

Excellent Hotel and staff
Pros:

Spent 4 days in Rome at this hotel.
Hotel is in a good location and right next door to the main train station. A lot of attractions are walkable but we got taxis everywhere as very hot.
Staff at the hotel are fantastic and could not be anymore helpful. They also made some great restaurant recommendations.
We had a suite, which was very good and spacious. My daughter had her own space in the living room and said the sofa bed was comfortable. My bed was also really comfortable and nice pillows.
A really big thank you to Elisabetta from guest relations. This was a last minute booking for us and she helped us book tours. Which are normally sold out this late. Great knowledge of all that Rome had to offer and all tours and tickets were perfect. We will return to Rome and this hotel, we have to now, as we have thrown our coins into the trevi fountain.
Thank you to all the team at the NH.
