A very good hotel with very new, clean facilities and a great location! The breakfast is delicious, one of the best we had during our entire vacation in Italy. The rooftop venue we visited on Saturday was excellent: wonderful food, good music, and excellent service.
We found the person stationed at the entrance odd; when we returned to the hotel after our long walks around Rome, he came up to me asking what I was carrying in my wallet along with the room key! It was very strange, to say the least. Another odd thing is that these same staff members seem to be there just for show; they don't open the door, let alone help with luggage. It doesn't fit the hotel!

Great property - lovely rooms, superb service and the perfect location especially for travellers to or from the Termini.
Great location, very centrally located and if it wasn't for the heat, could have probably walked everywhere. Right next to the train station, so easy to get a bit further as well. Lots of great restaurants and places to eat nearby. thr rooftop bar was nice, but not as elegant as I would have expected. We were also pleasantly surprised by an upgrade.
I think some of the communication - I asked for twin beds, in writing beforehand and during check in, and though they said yes - the room was not made into twin. When they came to make the room while we were out, they did not clear away some fruit peel etc that was left. The coffee machine was broken and water leaked - they said they would send someone straightaway, and it was just the room cleaning staff then cleaned up the water, but the machine remained as it was - so was not replaced or repaired, with the unfilled cup in place. They also cleared away empty water bottles but not the empty coffee cup. Only one bottle of hotel water for 2 people. Long wait at reception for service and also very small lobby for the size of hotel, so we had to stand about waiting. All in all - just not what you would expect from what is meant to be a 5 star hotel, especially at 5 star prices.
The NH Collection was a perfectly located hotel that served as a good launch point to explore Rome. With close proximity to the Termini train station, it was convenient to have access to public transit as well as black car service.
The hotel is modern, with great attention to detail and a convenient 5th floor rooftop bar and restaurant. The rooms are reasonably sized and very clean; overall, the rooms are also quiet given the location.
Staff are attentive and made an effort to remember guests, and the service was terrific.
I relied on AmEx’s curated hotel collection to find this property, and for about $750/night for each room, it was a great value with the AmEx benefits for a 5-star property.
We have had a blast at the NH. The service is wonderful. The bar service is a highlight at the lobby bar and the magnificent rooftop terrace. Samanta has taken great care of our group each evening as we’ve enjoyed the night views of Rome.
Bonus - the location next to Termini allowed us easy access to transportation.
I have just completed delivering a professional development program at the NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento.
The location is excellent, conveniently situated next to Roma Termini. The hotel is well maintained, offers a premium atmosphere, and the meeting facilities were well suited for the program.
What stood out most, however, were:
* The quality of the food
* The professionalism, responsiveness, and service orientation of the staff

Close to termini
Not very clean, restaurant was overpriced snd not very good
Super location for us (we wanted to be near station), breakfast was brilliant, friendly staff and room was clean/ good sized

The overall experience was ruined by the front desk. While other staff members were very friendly, Febiona, who checked us in, was extremely cold. Her attitude was so off-putting that we didn't even feel like reporting a technical issue with our shower head. The hotel has a 5-star location, but the service is far from reaching that standard

My wife and I went to the rooftop bar after a long day to relax. The bartender on, a young woman made probably the best mixed drink I have had in 20 years. This drink made my day, she had a great personality and it showed up in that drink. Green silk.
