Ein kaputter Kahn unter der trügerischen Flagge von Hilton, völlig überteuert!
Pros:

Das Personal war sehr höflich und freundlich: beim Frühstück, und auch bei der Zimmerreinigung. Das Hotel in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Kathedrale ist sehr zentral gelegen. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse und mit reichhaltigem Angebot ebenfalls ein Plus. Die Zimmer haben teils eine eigene Terrasse, teilweise mit Blick auf die Kathedrale. In der Regenzeit bröselt aber der Putz auf die Terrasse.

Cons:

Mit 214 EUR oder 239 US-Dollar oder 4414 MXN pro Person und Nacht ist dieses Hotel völlig überteuert! Es ist alles stark abgewohnt und hat seine besten Zeiten hinter sich. Schon in den Fluren bilden die Wände Generationen von vorüberziehenden Koffern durch schwarze Streifen ab, die Teppichböden sind komplett abgewetzt, tragen kurzen Flor und haben braune Löcher.

Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach und schmucklos gehalten, zudem recht klein. Die ehemals schwarzen Möbel sind überall abgestoßen und verkratzt, der Boden in den Zimmern zeigt Wellen, und die Fußleisten sitzen auch nicht mehr so richtig gut. Außen und innen bröselt der Putz von den Wänden. Gardinen komplett verschimmelt und mit Stockflecken. Das Gebäude ist im Zerfall und muss vermutlich bald geschlossen werden. Das schlimmste ist, dass die Feuchtigkeit, die überall in den Wänden sitzt, nach ein paar Tagen das Gepäck, die Koffer und die Kleidung mit einem muffigen Moder-Geruch infiziert, der sich auch mit Waschen nicht mehr entfernen lässt.

Ich durfte übrigens einmal das Zimmer wechseln und hatte Gelegenheit, die 604 und dann auch die 550 auszuprobieren - auf den ersten Blick kleine Verbesserung, aber dann zeigte sich das Schimmelproblem des Hauses auch in der neuen Unterkunft mit aller Stärke.

Nachdem am ersten Tag für den gesamten teuren Aufenthalt im Voraus gezahlt werden musste, gab es leider kein Entkommen mehr: meine Bitte um vorzeitige Stornierung wurde abgelehnt.

Das war eine sehr, sehr teure Gruft-Experience by Hilton. Ich verstehe ehrlich gesagt nicht, auf welcher Erfahrung die zahlreichen relativ guten Bewertungen hier basieren.

I give it a six out of 10, the staff was amazing and friendly and very helpful

The lobby, the corridors need a refresh. Tired discombobulated Furniture in the lobby. The hallway corner on our floor look like it hadn’t had a paint job in five years filthy dirty walls.. The Landscape area around the bar was half dead. The hanging plants in the bar half of them were dead.
