Walkable to town
Rooms too hot and not able to open windows. Fan was provided .
We really liked the hotel grounds which made for a relaxing stay. The room was a good size and comfortable, good to have both a shower and a bath.
The Orangery restaurant was very nice but my sirloin steak was very poor, full of fat and gristle.
My wife enjoyed her scampi and both starters were lovely.

The staff were fantastic - so helpful and made our family celebrations extra special.
All meals first class.
Bathroom facilities leave something to be desired. Very difficult to get in & out of the bath while suffering from arthritis . It lacks a handle on the wall just to get in to the bath or shower.

Rooms a bit tired
The room was quite clean as expected, it was very roomy and from that perspective great value. The breakfast was excellent and I like the fact that it started at 7am.
Although it was a warm weekend and was quite pleasant outside late afternoon the room itself was quite hot and the floor fan provided didn't really do the job. Sadly if global warming continues then many UK hotels will close because they will not be able to afford the cost of air conditioning installation.
