Location and parking
Nothing
Large comfortable room, thoughtful extras including books.
Couldn’t open windows since they were French door overlooking courtyard. Taxi which arrived from automatic call system at reception had completely the wrong directions for destination.
Lovely staff
Lovely breakfast

Lovely outside area, courtyard
Room was generally tired looking. Could hear next door room slightly. Shower had weak flow. Lights from corridor outside room shone under door as there was a large gap
Room was nice, breakfast was excellent, hotel is very nice.
Bed was too soft for our liking, room was on the main road, lots of noise till midnight, then it exploded, with fighting, shouting and screaming at 2 in the morning, not a very good night sleep, avoid rooms on main road
Friendly, helpful staff. Good restaurant and breakfast. Good central location. Parking easy .
Room was rather cramped and tired with fewer facilities than that of a friend staying in the newer block.
Good location
My room wasn’t overly clean. Bits on the bed and floor. Everything else was fine.
The location was perfect, sadly the accommodation failed to live up to expected promises. Dilapidated and long in need of significant investment.
The entire place is shabby and poorly invested in. The virtual monopoly it holds in terms of accommodation in the central location, plays upon a history and heritage it has long since been able to uphold. Peeling wall and ceiling paper, out-dated interior furniture that is poorly aligned and positioned, etc., etc. The breakfast offer was something out of the 1960s - Luke warm, over cooked, virtually tasteless and a coffee offer that was not only limited but undrinkable considering this is 2026.
