Having had a poor experience several years ago, I decided to once more stay at the Rose and Crown. What a difference! My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom modern and well appointed. Although close to a rail line, there is very low noise. The reception was friendly and welcoming. I didn’t have an evening meal, but the breakfast - included because I booked direct through Best Weztern - was delicious. Good quality food and properly cooked to order. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection, soft and delicious. I enjoyed my stay, and will stay here again when I next visit. Great turnaround Best Western!
