Good value .. dog friendly and liked the spa facilities
Decor A bit out dated .. didn’t like two beds pushed together to make a large double as I kept falling down the crack in the middle
The location was lovely and the views amazing.
Bed - could feel the springs
Bathroom Doorhandle - squeaky, so woke other person during the night.
Tea/coffee - silly little shelf, could put a corner floor to ceiling unit to give more space
Hangers - 9 hooks but only 3 actual hangers in wardrobe
Bulb - not working above the bed, I’m sure this could have been sorted but as child was asleep when noticed didn’t want to disturb him by asking for a new bulb to be fitted.
Bar meal- 6 yr old has gluten intolerance and the bar could not provide anything suitable for him as a snack/light meal. I managed to purchase a few bits from the shops, I then came back to have a drink on the terrace and asked for a plate for son to put his snacks on. They didn’t want him to eat on the terrace (no one else there). But I reminded them that they couldn’t provide anything for him so had to provide my own. I didn’t have a meal myself as I don’t eat in front of a 6 yr old if he can’t eat too. I had purchased a sandwich which I ate in the room.
Breakfast - I said son had gluten intolerance and apart from offering a gluten free roll there was no other information, they couldn’t say if sausages where GF, no information on cross contamination. Generally the breakfast wasn’t the best, like warm, rubbery scrambled eggs, sausages anemic looking, mush for tomatoes.
Good value and great quiet location.
Access to some rooms requiring lots of stairs - no lift. Food & drink at the high side
The pool, the bar and the location.
The electric went off on the first night of our stay, the tea and coffee facilities were poor and the bed was not comfy.
Views were outstanding
Stayed in an annexe to the main hotel.. which was ok... but would have preferred to stay in the main hotel
Lovely location and character of a historic estate house. Got free room upgrade to bigger room.
Breakfast, not very good selection , very little to choose from. Hot buffet not very good quality. Fried eggs had to be requested especially.
Staff were friendly
Room booked was an executive suite which was more akin to just a bedroom in the eves. Room overlooked the Aircon system for the main hotel so was noisy all night. Heat of the day did not help and the room was equipped only with a small desk fan which was next to useless without the windows being open and more Aircon unit noise. Shower had limited water pressure. Exasperated I only had a barsnack for dinner which was ok. Into the later hours the electricity kept dropping, the on off drops and the on off back up gennie kicking in mean even sleeping was interrupted with the mini fan switching on off on off. Not a great stay.
Room - very clean and modern
Breakfast - lovely and did vegetarian sausages for my husband on request
Dinner - really nice and good value for money. Wait staff very friendly.
Couldn't really fault it and already planning our next stay there.
We love The Webbington!
Brought our daughter and grandchildren. The family room set up got a big thumbs up from the kids!
Great onsite facilities too. They loved the pool.
The breakfast quality could be better.
The location is beautiful, the staff were very good with us they even put a iron and ironing board in the room for us . The bed was very comfortable we are already discussing when we will be back
Been here many times. Always friendly, clean and in a beautiful setting
Everything
Nice location.
The facilities wasn't great.
Lovely location and lovely staff BUT we stayed in the newer part if the hotel not in the original old building which was fine but because the floor boards make so much noise, we were woken by every one that passed our door and walked overhead. The walls must be very thin because we could literally hear everything people were saying next door and they weren't being loud. There was a strange smell in the bedroom which meant we had to keep the window open..the view was a weedy bank a foot away from the window covered with foam and rubbish. We also only had one towel between the two of us. The bed gave us both back ache so we had to get up and walk about, the bedside lights were also broken. Its a shame because id always wanted to stay here but its very run down and sad and it needs major updating and refurbishment. While I understand that the main building is listed, there's a lot of updating that is very over due. We wont be back unfortunately
