Very friendly and helpful staff. Goresh at the check-in desk was especially helpful.
It was at the peak of the hot weather so it was quite hot.
Parking available, close to train station
Helpful staff
Good breakfast choices
Bathroom a little dated
Good location, a short walk to Watford Junction. The bed was huge and very comfortable! The room was lovely and tidy!
We stayed here just the day after the heatwave finished and the building had held a lot of the heat so the room was sweltering with only a small fan to attempt to cool it and the window of course could only open slightly.
Die Lange nahe Watford Warner Bros Studios
Teure Pet Gebühr.
Greta location close to town. The staff were wonderful and went above and beyond to help me during my stay. Luggage storage was available on check out day - which allowed me time without dragging my suitcase!!

Will never book this hotel again
The hotel was very very hot in middle of June no way to get any sleep, hotel provided a small table fan barely gave any air, had to take cold shower twice at night to cool of so I could get some sleep

Looks dingy on the outside but clean and bright inside.
Have to walk through smoking area to get to hotel from car park.
Hot water took about 3 minutes to come through sink tap.
Door slams were noticeable- surpressors needed.

Grotty Hotel
Very well located just a few minutes walk from Watford's weekend market, lots of restaurants and cafes. Less than 10min to the shopping centre and between 10 to 15min walk to Watford Junction station.
Very reasonably priced and well located. Staff were friendly and there was a kettle in the room and some tea and coffee making items. Room was small but clean and functional with a body wash and shampoo provided in the bathroom.
Hottest hotel I have ever stayed in. Zero air conditioning in the room and, given I had a small single room located in the roof space, it felt like I was being boiled alive. I am aware the website states no aircon in rooms but it was much cooler outside than in even at midnight.
A small plug in fan was provided but did nothing to help with the heat as did not have cooling capability. I was unable to open the window more than 10cm so couldn't get any air flow and the multiple doors in the hallway areas meant there was no flow from the corridors either.
I understand it was a hot day for London (mid 20 celcius to 30C) when I stayed but I would think twice before staying here if temperatures are expected to be above 20C. I think if I could have managed to opeb a window I could have cooled the room down at night even without aircon, perhaps some flyscreens could be installed so the windows can open but still be secured from bugs etc.
We booked the stay at the last minute and it was a great decision. Contact with the staff is really good, hotel offers everything what is necessary and is still close to London. Rooms are quaint and tidy. There are supermarkets nearby when needed.
