Good location for our stay. Comfortable room with a view. Good breakfast.
We have stayed in this hotel twice in two years and on both occasions the lift has been out of order!
We had difficulty getting to the hotel because of closed roads, but the hotel manager gave my partner a running commentary on how to get there via the narrow streets in Clevedon.
Our room had a grand view over the Severn Estuary. The television would not work but the staff attended to it promptly. However the bathroom was actually somewhat tilted and the small sink was very low. An excellent walk in shower was appreciated. But the tiny shelf above the sink was too small for much more than a toothbrush.
The Buffet Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choices. We had dinner for our 3 night stay and the choices were very good. All the staff are very helpful and kind. All in all it was a pleasant stay. The lift to our floor as much appreciated.
Staff were friendly
Room was too hot. No air conditioning. Window only opened a few inches. Decoration old fashioned and very tired. Needs refurbishing.
Breakfast very disappointing. Food overcooked and dry. Except for melon, fruit was not fresh. Ran out of coffee, no staff to ask for more. No pastries left at 8.45am when restaurant finishes at 9.15.
Everything really, helpful staff .
Beautiful & clean environment.
Well trained restaurant staff.
Room was a pokey attic room with hardly any windows and only a small skylight for fresh air
the location
Peaceful location by the sea with lots of onsite parking. Clean, comfortable and tidy throughout.
Beautiful views to enjoy a morning coffee on the clifftop terrace. Shortish walk in to Clevedon.
Situated on the England Coast Path which was convenient for just an overnight stay.
Could not match the Booking.com price which was odd as they had only two rooms left.
Standard room was extremely hot and stuffy and no fan in the attic style room.
The staff - outstanding. The views from the bedroom and public rooms.
Local road closures hampered access to the hotel. Not the fault of the hotel but frustrating.
Breakfast was excellent, staff were helpful & friendly, location & view excellent
Nothing
Excellent break the location was perfect and more than helpful staff couldn’t have asked for more
Staff excellent, dining room very good, comfortable seating area
Unfortunately we arrived in temperatures of 30+ degrees. Our room was on the top floor and must have been 40+ degrees. Sleep was impossible despite staff finding us a fan. The hotel was not full, I think we could have been offered an alterative room. We would have been hapoy to pay any difference.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and there a number of impressive elements to our stay. In my regular reviews of hotels we’ve used, my first comments always relate to the staff; good staff can overcome deficiencies and that was the case here. Erika, Brigid, Georgia and Anita were all stellar and helped make our stay good.
The menu in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was pretty standard fare and occasionally quantity outweighed quality. More than acceptable though.
Our room had the views of the. estuary and the Bristol Channel. Fabulous sunsets (usually seen from the bar!) the views add to the value.
Plenty of relaxation areas but the well worn leather sofas were difficult for this old guy to rise from😫
Overall a very pleasant stay and our thanks to the staff who helped make it so.
I stayed on one of the hottest days of the year and the attic room was more torture chamber than hotel room. The room had no air conditioning and was over 40 degrees C (over 100 degrees F) . It was unbearable and should not have been offered to guests. I explained this the next day to the staff at the front desk who connected me to head office. To the credit of the hotel I was refunded the cost of my stay. They made it right.
Views obviously
No Aircon in bedroom.
Car park overgrown, losing x6 spaces coz of this
Nice location
Felt like sleeping in a cupboard as it was small and very hot with just a small window. Stayed 2 nights and didn’t get much sleep.
Great location overlooking the sea. Dog friendly.
Our room wasn't what we were expecting. It had a very small sea view window. Nothing like the photo's on the website.
Also, we were right at the top during the heat wave so totally overheated and tricky with the dog.
View, dinner, staff, cleanliness.
