Der Onsen war toll und das Perdonal extrem freundlich und höflich

Es riecht in ein paar Räumen etwas modrig, der Feuchtigkeit geschuldet.

Das Personal war super freundlich. Ich habe ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf Garten und See gehabt und das Zimmer war sehr ruhig.

Great location overlooking the lake & Mt Fuji behind the hotel. Good facilities including traditional onsen, observation tower to look at Mt Fuji & the lake, also have a bar with pool tables & other games. Rooms are neat and tidy, nothing glamourous but simple and comfortable. Excellent traditional Japanese breakfast.

Piękny hotel z historią. Wzięliśmy tradycyjny japoński pokój i to był strzał w dziesiątkę.
Hotel ma łaźnię (uwaga dla kobiet i mężczyzn osobno) z widokiem na Fuji. Hotel posiada też bilard, bar i inne gry.
Fajne zaskoczenie z bezpłatnym shuttle busem na stację.

Cons:

Nie są zbyt elastyczni jeśli chodzi o późniejszy check out (nawet 30min).

7人家族旅行で、急な予約でも宿泊できた。

Cons:

コテージ宿泊となったが、お風呂は隣のホテルまで歩いてゆくロケーションであった。
豪雨の中移動が必要で、風呂上がりに宿泊コテージまでゆく間に、足下、浴衣が汚れた。
コテージの作りは木造で古く、階段を歩くとギシギシ音が鳴る。
二階のトイレは鍵がかけられない。

Outdated hotel op prachtige plek met uitzicht op Mount Fuji, perfecte gym en onsen met de mooiste view van Japan.
Pros:

De gym is gloednieuw en top! Daarnaast heb je een heerlijke onsen met de allermooiste view; direct op Mount Fuji!

Cons:

Het hotel was echt outdated, een beetje smoezelig en er lagen een hoop haren in ons bed bij aankomst.

Pros:

Overall, we had a very positive experience at this hotel. Yes, the property is somewhat outdated, as other reviews have mentioned, but this did not bother us. In fact, we found it comfortable and charming.
The location by the lake was absolutely beautiful and perfect for enjoying Kawaguchiko. We loved our large room, which had a wonderful view of the lake. The futons were also incredibly comfortable, and we slept very well.
The onsen was another highlight. As a female guest, I often had the women's onsen completely to myself, which made the experience even more relaxing. We also really enjoyed the breakfast—it felt homemade, traditional and authentic.

Cons:

The only negative was our first impression when we arrived before check-in and wanted to leave our luggage at the hotel. We had to walk for around 10 minutes from the station because the shuttle service only runs after the 3 p.m. check-in time. Unfortunately, the young man at reception was not particularly friendly when we arrived. However, after checking in, all the other staff members we interacted with were friendly and welcoming.
Despite the slightly outdated facilities and the less-than-warm first impression, we really enjoyed our stay and loved the overall experience.

Staff explained how everything works around here. Great breakfast experience. Multiple dishes of good food served in a hall with a nice lake view. Vintage decor. Bathhouse with a view of Mt. Fuji. I enjoyed the traditional room.

Hotel is nice in a great location, but booking.com fails badly
Pros:

The location and the view were excellent. The hotel is right on the beach, so it's possible to go for a walk or a swim. There are shops nearby, and the gold mine museum is only 5 minutes walk away as well. The hotel looks like it's been newly renovated and has western-style beds.

For such a small hotel it even has 2 (private) onsen baths, which are amazing after a long day of sight-seeing.

Cons:

Booking.com's details on the hotel were incorrect, which caused a lot of problems. The room DOES NOT have 2 beds, it only has 1 double bed, which was not an option as I was travelling with a family member. Luckily the hotel staff were very fast to reply on LINE app (LINE contact details stuck on the front door) and could bring a futon. The hotel staff were SUPERB in helping to sort out this problem!

Booking.com on the other hand were atrocious! The only way to contact them (in english) was via an international phone number, then it was 20 minutes arguing with the support person, who, at best, promised a response from the incident team in the next 2 hours. This is simply not good enough - it was already very late in the day and there was no way to know if a solution could be found. They also refused to issue a refund on the spot so that we could find alternative accommodation. If it wasn't for the hotel staff, I don't know what we could have done.

I WILL NEVER RELY ON BOOKING.COM AGAIN IF THERE ARE ISSUES!!! I have trusted this site to help support me in english if I ever have an issue, and the first time I did, I felt extremely let down. From now on I will use alternative sites as a preference.
