Pros:

Not a review as such but hoping to speak to someone for a booking we have to sort the additional fees for pools and restraunts in advance for my boyfriends 30th birthday. Emailed 4 different addresses on the website and unable to get a response? Anyone else had this issue?

Don't bother if your from the UK
Pros:

If your from the UK or dont speak french udont bother coming here. Here now and all the animation team talk french through every show, every game, no English spoken at all, even tho there are hundreds from the UK here. The hotel is not kept as clean as it should be with wasps, flies and birds in the restraunts pooing everywhere its all on the seats and tables. Broken glass dosnt seem to bother the staff either they have no rush in cleaning it, or any glass for that matter you struggle to find a clean glass to drink out of. No wonder loads here say to bring your own cups. UK holiday companies should not be selling this place imo. Such a shame because if it was well run its a lovely hotel. Leave this place to the most rude nation on earth, the french.

Very very pleasantly surprised ☺️
Pros:

Please take the negative reviews as a pinch of salt! We had a mixed party of 22 (adults and kids) many of us were worried based on reviews we have read online! I can absolutely say I had no substantial problems whilst staying at the hotel, nothing that would prevent me from returning again!

The location of the hotel is about 25/30 minutes from Marrakech centre & airport so short transfer journey and short journey into town. There are plenty of taxis that sit outside the resort, just ask at reception and they will call a taxi to come pick you up. Abedo was our taxi driver the whole holiday and is the sweetest man!

We stayed in block 900 which was I think the furthest from reception but not terribly far, if you have mobility issues you can ask at reception, they have a buggy and if able to do so they are happy to take you to your riad. We arrived late at night, the check in process was smooth and we were all in our rooms within about 30 mins of arrival. The rooms are spacious, well equipped with a fridge and a hairdryer (no iron or kettle) plenty of lighting and plug sockets. Little balcony area with a table and chairs.

Housekeeping - Our room was immaculate every day and that is thanks to ‘Shabila’ (I think this is her name) the kindest, sweetest lady thank you for looking after our whole family. We will miss you! We had one day that our regular house keeping wasn’t there and had an issue with the stand in, which was handled by the manager swiftly.

Management & Staff - The service is great, Hicham (manager) was a fantastic help in many ways during our stay helping our party out with anything we needed whether that be recommendations or issues we had at hotel. The entertainment staff are fantastic they always had something going on for the kids and had all the energy in the world (in that heat) the staff at the kids club were also fab I cannot fault them.

Pools & Amenities - There was a total of 6 pools (I think) I didn’t actually make it to them all, the complex is huge! The main pool was always relatively busy but there is plenty of loungers around the area. We often went to the small pool with the pillars near to the main restaurant as was a cooler pool. There was a kids play area/water area which is beside the water slides which is fab, and there is snack bar over there which has to be paid for (no issue either take your own snacks over or get the all inclusive when you return to the main area) it is what it is! You also have the mango pool area which we visited one day. Access to the pool with a cabana bed and towels, 2 main meals, 2 cocktails, 2 soft drinks was £48 which I don’t think was bad. There is also a kids club which is great and the staff are great there too!

The spa services were fab, majority of our party went for a haman massage which is highly recommended!

Have medic/pharmacist on site which is good.

Food & Restaurants - I cannot fault the food, it is what it is, it’s all inclusive! Yes you will have times where it seems repetitive (that’s what all inclusive is - cooking for thousands of people they do what’s easy) but everyone in our party ALWAYS found something to eat. Breakfast was the same every day. Toast, eggs, beans, omelettes, pastries, salad, breads and cereals.

Lunch was burgers, chips, pizzas, salads, paninis, wraps, grilled meats, tagines, plenty of sweet treats and ice cream.

Evening meals lots of meats, tagines, casseroles, veggies, rices, potatoes, grilled meat and veg, pasta bakes, noodles, burgers and again plenty of sweet treats the list was endless there was ALWAYS something to eat!

There is also a snack bar between main pool and kids pool which serve pizza, burgers, paninis and fries through the day and other things. Yes there is little birds in the restaurant, no I didn’t see them on any food and there was always someone there with a palm leaf to deter them if they flew too close. Also never had any issues with the temp of the food, yes there is a microwave but I never had to use it as the food was always warm.

The only small issues I would potentially raise is that English and French guests get different coloured bands upon check in and I assume this is to allow the staff to know what language to speak to guests in. But I did find that sometimes French guest were getting prioritised at the bar when being served, or the service was slightly better for the French guests, again not something that would prevent me from returning. My second issue is the bar service was quiet slow I feel like they should maybe have more staff on the bars especially in the evening or at busy times majority of the time there was only 2 staff on a bar at at time.

I give 4/5 all over as there is room for improvement in certain areas but would definitely return! ☺️

Tips -
Bring thermal cups to keep drinks cold (also saves you waiting in bar line for a small drink)

Bring insect spray if you’re prone to bites

Avoid leaving opened snacks/drinks beside your loungers as bees will swarm!

Pleasant and Friendly Resort
Pros:

Just returned from a 10 day stay and can have no real complaints. Prior to going we had noticed negative social media feedback, but these people must have been at a different hotel.

Is it perfect, no it's not. Yes there are birds in the restaurant and wasps around the bar, but when people leave food lying around at the back of them then birds and wasps etc will be attracted.

I was in Riad 800 and the room was basic, but very comfortable and clean. The cleaning staff are excellent and attend daily with bottled water left in the room. I believe there is an ongoing modernisation of the rooms throughout the resort.

Food choices were excellent with several options to suit all tastes, while the pools and waterpark are superb.

Without doubt though the biggest strength the hotel has is with its staff. From cleaners, catering team, bar staff to animation team they are the friendliest group you could ever wish to meet. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always polite and helpful.

Ignore negative social media posts and visit with an open mind, I'm sure you won't be disappointed, I'd happily recommend Valeria to anyo e considering a visit.

Great family holiday
Pros:

We stayed here for 4 nights in June. 2 grandparents, 2 adults and 4 children - and we all had a great time.
We had adjoining rooms in riad 1 which was great being so close to the pools etc. We requested a cot in one room which was missing on check in - after asking reception it was bought up promptly.
We found the food to be really tasty and great variety - although it can get very busy in the restaurant and did struggle to find a table for 8 one lunchtime. If you arrive as soon as service opens then there is plenty of space. We did avoid the main pool as it was too noisy for us - but the smaller shallower pool was great and so was the large pool by the water park. WiFi didn’t really work, only in random spots but luckily we didn’t need to access anything on our phones urgently.
The kids enjoyed dancing to the music in the evening regardless of what language it is. We also booked a guided tour with dinner into Marrakesh through the EasyJet rep which we all thought was brilliant.
Overall there a few areas of improvement however we still all had a lovely time and would return here again.

If you speak French and can sleep in high temperature at night this is for you
Pros:

We are here at the moment 7 days into a 14 day holiday- and the frustration about this resort is mounting. Being dropped off by our transfer at the main road and having to walk to reception was not a great start. The resort is massive and it is not immediately clear where one needs to go. A lot of faff was made around our luggage which was brought to the room by a golf cart type vehicle. The men hauled the luggage up to the second floor (no lift) which we appreciated, but they were not leaving the room, clearly looking for money. We had just arrived- were hot and bothered and had no local currency either. That was uncomfortable. We are 2 adults and 1 child (8) and were given 2 towels and 2 pillows- I had to ask several times to get 3 of everything- this resulted in everything taken away- Had to go to reception again to ask for it. Why? I have no idea. The room was clearly made up for 3 guests. We are in block 2- the location of block 2 is good within the resort - close to the main area and pool but a bit further from the water park entrance. The biggest complaint is that the aircon is not working and with 40 plus degree heat during the day- the nights are unbearable. We have left everything open at night to catch a breeze but it’s not helping much and then the mosquitoes are in and the noise from the parties until 1am makes sleeping a nightmare. We asked for someone to check the aircon- that was ignored. All the information around the hotel is in French so we are excluded from any activities around the pool- nothing whatsoever is announced in English. The water park is great but be aware - no food or drinks allowed whatsoever (we brought our own flasks and also used empty bottles refilled at the only 2 water stations) and even though this is meant to be all inclusive- any food or drinks over by the water park needs to be paid separately and it is a long walk in the heat back to the main area. There are not water dispensers there so bring the bottle you get from housekeeping to breakfast and fill it up there is what we did. It is however a far bigger / cleaner pool (and therefore pretty empty most days) than the main one which is covered in hair and bugs. The water park opens at 10, the splash area is extremely slippy, make sure any children wear good footwear. Kids disco is exclusively in French, no mix of any other language spoken or songs we may recognise. Instructions all in French only. This holiday was sold by TUI Ireland and we have been greatly misinformed. The safe in the room is broken, drawers are broken, sheets haven’t been changed once in a week, aircon is broken the phone is broken. Breakfast/ Lunch and dinner - the food is obviously greatly influenced by local cuisine, but the staff are unable to keep up with demand. Tables are not cleared or cleaned, cutlery/ cups etc not available- unless you arrive at the time when the dining area opens- you would struggle to find a clean table and utensils. Do not leave food on the table- one of many birds in the dining room will fly over and help themselves. The staff are trying but there are just not enough so it all piles up. Drinks dispensers also only in 2 locations at each opposite end of the dining area at the very end of the entire dining area. The machines are often not turned on and coffee is available at breakfast only. The gym - advertised as “fitted with state of the art equipment” is only big enough for maybe 3 max 4 people- it has a broken bench, 2 bikes and 1 cross trainer, weights 1,3,5,7,9,12 and 14kg and that is the state of the art equipment. There are showers there but no towels or water so need to bring your own, went looking for a toilet once and was immediately asked where I was going. There is at least 1 stray dog, several cats as well as peacocks walking around- if you are on the ground floor- I would suggest to keep nothing open so they can’t come in. The TUI rep is nowhere to be seen and the app is not working to ask someone from TUI. There was no welcome meeting like I am used to from the 4 previous TUI holidays to explain how it all works and to be visible and know where to find the rep. I have never been so disappointed with a holiday. Reading other reviews - especially about the aircon- make me doubt that we will get a room where we can actually sleep in properly- but will try again today. WiFi is so bad that we bought data packages from Vodafone. There is one spot close to reception where the WiFi is working- but nowhere else. If you come here- make sure you speak French, arrive with low expectations and the capability of being able to sleep in 35 plus degree temperatures. As of today- I desperately want to go home- the lack of proper sleep is making all of us irritable and this is not what I want on any holiday.

AWFUL!!!
Pros:

This hotel is awful and would avoid at all costs!! We were a group of 7 in 3 different rooms in block 9. 1 room stunk constantly and fridge leaked all the time. 1 room had a massive bug issue after constantly reporting all they done was spray the bugs with lynx deodorant!! Or me cleaning them up!! After the 6th time complaining we finally got to speak to the manager who said a new room was needed the new room already had people in it!! We left the hotel to go out for dinner and asked for the new room to be ready when we arrived back. When getting back we was told there was no room and would need to come back in the morning!! After telling them his was not acceptable and they were not sleeping in the room they gave us a key to a room in block 2 which was 100% better!!
You were queuing for a drink and they would serve the French before even if you had been waiting 5 minutes!! The wasps are a huge issue!! All activities around the pool were in French. Raw chicken was served at dinner!! Fixtures are hanging off the walls!! Fuse box left open in direct sun for 2 days!! Our beds were made everyday but no clean sheets in the whole 7 days. We spent all our holiday at the pool by the water slides and brought drinks from there as a British you are treated totally different than the French!! Also a tip use Uber if you need a taxi the drivers outside the hotel rip you off!! Charged us £31 for a 4 minute drive!! Also they ask guest to leave good reviews when finishing any activities so don’t be fooled by the good reviews

Good stay, entertainment team make it what it is!
Pros:

Read some really bad reviews about this hotel before coming but it's really not that bad! The hotel is quite French heavy but by no means do we as English feel we've been excluded. The entertainment team are absolutely amazing. Break, Emir and Ghani all really friendly and had such a laugh with them. Not my normal kind of hotel but I enjoyed my stay.

Average resort
Pros:

Unfortunately our first room was very sub standard & didn't even meet the basic criteria. Toilet bulb not working required phone torch to see, TV had no aerial connection. Sofa bed foot panel not attached & just placed on top of the seat, broken leg on bed side table, two dirty floor rugs. I mentioned all defects to a cleaner who burst in to put a pillow case on a spare pillow??!! I also complained at reception soon after 3pm check-in. Returning to the room later in the evening. Nothing had been fixed, so back to reception this was around 10pm. A maintenance person was summoned to at least change the toilet light bulb other issues remained. Then went to the fridge to get water out & guess what yes it wasn't there?? Back to reception for further complaints fortunately out of 3 persons at reception one guy had the common sense to replace with a new within 10 minutes. This same person looked at all the other issues in the room removed the TV to show a bare cable for the aerial now totally disconnected. He stated we should be moved the following day. Also this room was on the top floor roof 3 flights of stairs. We eventually got moved 2pm the next day to a better ground floor room with everything as it should be. We all agreed with staff I shouldn't have to point out room defects multiple times at all on our vacation. These should be done by at least room cleaners or staff basic checks. We had no issues with the remaining holiday in spite no information about the resort we found the bigger quieter pool beyond the aqua park, we never found the adult one unless this was the restaurant mango one? Food was good my partner loved the desserts. This is a very basic resort & it's a shame that some rooms are not fit to stay in on a basic level, this wasn't isolated to just us we heard this numerous times room transfers from UK speaking guests. Would I revisit or recommend.. no.

Budget friendly
Pros:

I think the overall rating of 3 is reasonable for this hotel.

Firstly, this is a French hotel which was a great test of my GCSE level expertise! But seriously signage, announcements, entertainment are all in French. Having said, all the staff I encountered are great English speakers.

Don't arrive before 3pm! Your room will not be ready. You will have to wait, which if you've been traveling for hours, in the same clothes, hoping to sleep, not going to happen.

The rooms are small, basic but have all the necessary things. The air con is not strong, so you need to close all the curtains and leave it running constantly on high volume to get some relief. Wet towels on the bed also help with the heat. There is no place to wash your bum and no sink in the bathroom. TV worked fine. No locks on the bathroom doors, privacy is a bit limited.

Our riad was close to the pools and dining area, but there was 2 flights of stairs to go up. Be in good shape for that! Random stray dog on day 2.

The food was good, I felt there was a good variety, a mix of traditional Moroccan cuisine and European, although the food was quite bland (I think a lot of hotels do that to try and please the masses) the desserts were delicious, and there are 4 meal times a day, with an open buffet. Get therr early otherwise you won't find a table, glasses would have run out. The best place to sit is near the desserts as the air con is cooler and less flies. Don't sit near the door or in the main entry, you will be attacked by swarms of flies and birds.

The swimming pools were great. Clean, quite warm, pleasant and fun. I enjoyed watching the water dance aerobics, although I didn't really join in. I didn't take part much in the evening entertainment, but I watched some of the dancing and singers, they seemed good.

The place is generally very clean, staff are constantly cleaning. The room cleaning is of a very good standard. Large bottle of water is provided each day with clean glasses. You can also get more water from reception. Hair dryer, towels and soap provided in the room.
The fridge smelt bad and didn't seem to be working. Lots of storage space in the room. Small clean balcony for sitting outside the room.

WiFi is not very strong. ATM in reception area. There is also a large office where you can book excursions. We used the shuttle bus service to go into Marrakech.

There is no air con is vast amounts of the hotel and in July it is very hot. I really feel sorry for the staff working in that heat. Bring your own fans.

Certainly not a luxury hotel, but as a budget friendly hotel, I think you can have a pleasant stay here, although I would not advise the summer months, given the heat, or for staying longer than 1 week.
