Staff were friendly
Rooms are outdated and need some upgrades
While our first impression was that the hotel needed a bit of updating, this notion was offset by the fact that the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location in historic Harbour Grace was perfect for exploring the town, although we were disappointed that the museum didn't open until July. Still, there are other attractions along the boardwalk. We enjoyed our breakfasts in the hotel restaurant where the staff were friendly and efficient and there were some traditional Newfoundland menu items on offer. For evening meals, the Old Courthouse is close to the hotel and has an extensive and delicious menu which can be sampled from a jail cell - great ambiance!
Many attractions and services not open in June - tourist season doesn't really start until July.
Quiet. Breakfast was good. The only place on our trip with fish and brewis on the menu. Room was OK. A good location.
Beautiful location, big room but still cozy. Roku on tv!
Great location
Nothing
Bed was clean and comfortable.
Run-down furniture, carpets stained.
On a apprécié l'espace, le lit confortable et l'emplacement près du port. Le restaurant à côté était excellent !
Nous sommes habitués au micro-ondes dans la chambre.
Did not eat there....staff was friendly.
Vending machine, smoking area, parking.
Loved the Breakfast
I had no problem with anything
Sink wouldn't drain. Restaurant closed.
Nice place overall will stay there again for sure !
Its an hour away
Room had 2 double beds, fridge, 3 tables and was quite roomy. Very comfortable stay!!
We were there during a nearby Wildfire. We had to look else where for meals because the Hotel was helping provide meals for fire fighters.
However, the staff was great. If we are back in the Avalon area next year, our first choice will be Hotel Harbour Grace.
The staff was very friendly and very helpful.
Booked for two double bed, but end up with only having one double bed and the other one being very uncomfortable twin size bed.
Clean room but poor air conditioning
