Sweet Home Hotel

We absolutely loved our stay at Sweet Home Hotel and highly recommend it. The view of the Acropolis from our balcony was simply breathtaking. The staff were incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. Staying here felt less like a hotel and more like coming home to a wonderful family. We can’t wait to come back!

I loved staying at Sweet Home Hotel - in fact, I loved it so much I’ve booked for a return visit when I’ve finished hiking the Menalon Trail. The Plaka location is perfect - in easy walking distance to all the sites you wish and also to food districts. The staff are all lovely - a special shout out to Yannis who twice ensured I made my scheduled trips in time! And made me coffee too. Above and beyond. Breakfast is delicious and way more than anyone needs. My room was spotless and beautifully appointed. I can’t wait to return.

I highly recommend this small hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, located just minutes away from the Monastiraki metro station, Syntagma Square, and the pedestrian streets of Plaka. The decorations were fun and tasteful, and the breakfast was impressive! We would love to stay here again!

A fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of the Plaka district in Athens.
A 10 minute stroll from the Acropolis.
I chose it because it looked more interesting than the usual impersonal city hotel and I’m glad I did.
A pretty exterior and a very pleasant welcome.
The room was lovely, very stylish and felt very comfortable.
We booked the balcony room which was nice to hear the hustle and bustle from the street below.
The view isn’t the best but it didn’t matter in the slightest.
Lovely toiletries provided and a very smart bathroom.
Breakfast was delicious with extensive choice.
I would definitely recommend and return.

I honestly can't say enough about Sweet Home, it started with the fantastic staff organising our taxi from the airport for us (we arrived at 3am) and everything went so smoothly. We only had one night here but wished we could've stayed longer. The hotel is in a super location, an easy walk to The Acropolis and Parliament buildings. The room was lovely and toasty, bed was super comfy, very clean and a very clean bathroom, perfect for the two of us. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to choose from. It is such a tidy, warm and inviting place, we would recommend anyone stay there if they want to feel very much at home. The staff again were wonderful even to the point we left an item in our room when we checked out and it had great sentimental value to us, they went above and beyond to get us reunited with that, i couldn't believe how helpful and understanding they were, even to the point they organised transport from the port back to them to pick it up and then off to the airport. You really don't get service like this in many places anymore, they truly are fantastic and kind and you should stay there

Great location excellent food very warm good rooms quiet east to access by public transport. Matress were ery good and not too soft . Clean

My daughter and I had a wonderful visit for 5 days during our trip to Athens. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved the breakfast, and on the mornings we had early plans, the staff offered to pack us a to - go breakfast. The location was perfect, a short walk to just about everything - Plaka, the Acropolis, Monastiraki Square, etc. We will definitely stay again on another visit.

We enjoyed every single detail in the hotel, from the room, breakfast, atmosphere but above all great hospitality.

We just came back from Athens and I would like to share my opinion about this hotel.
The stay was awesome overall. Location could not be better, right in the center but a quite small street. I have not splurged on a bigger room, but our room on the 4th floor was very well appointed with decent bathroom and a great view of Acropolis from the small balcony. The breakfast was delicious, a generous continental breakfast with some Greek flavors. Breakfast was served from 7:30 but the staff was very accommodating and opened it up for the guests who have to start day earlier. All the staff members: Alexia, Ioannis, Dina and Emma were super helpful, always with a smile and ready to assist. Hospitality at its best.

Fantastic hotel in very central location in Athens. Within easy walking distance from Syntagma Square, which has frequent bus and Metro transfers from the airport, this beautiful and unique hotel is tucked away in a quiet street. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was tastefully decorated, comfortable and immaculately clean. The breakfast buffet was exceptional with huge range of freshly prepared foods. We had 4 days in Athens and visited major attractions on foot. Lots of choice for eating / drinking very nearby. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

The Sweet Home Hotel was a great location for visiting the sites in Athens. So many places to eat and shop within walking distance. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good, lots of variety and fresh.
The rooms have very comfortable beds, very clean & we had a small balcony so nice for fresh air. Not a great view, you see the interior of another building. The parquet floor could use some work, it's uneven & separating in spots especially entering the bathroom. Our shower was very small stall, however our friends had larger showers. The rooms in the basic category are fairly small, we had a larger one but paid more. Just check the room type before you reserve.

Overall, my experience at Sweet Home Hotel was positive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They seemed to care about our experience and wanting to make it a positive one. It was very quant, great location, and nicely decorated. My rating of a 4 instead of a 5 is due to the size of the room (it was very small and difficult to move through with luggage) and the breakfast offered wasn't as warm as I would have preferred. I appreciated the personal feel of this hotel and I would stay here again.
