We stayed in Flam for one night to break up our Norway in a nutshell tour. this hotel was fine and it served it's purpose, but if I didn't need to stay there, I probably wouldn't stay there. Staff was very helpful and facilities were ok. Breakfast was ok, not great. For most of the day we had a huge cruse ship blocking our view but it departed around 6pm.

Cons:

if there is a cruise ship docked and you are on the fjord side, you a staring at another hotel until it leaves.

Pros:

Very cozy hotel, near the harbor with a great view to the mountains and the harbor. The room is extremely nice, and the staff there is the most friendly and helpful I’ve met

Ok , wouldn’t return as too expensive
Pros:

Felt it was extremely over priced for a very average stay and the cruise ship too on top of the rooms and felt it had no privacy
The hotel rate was beyond expensive for a very average hotel

Very tasteful with lovely touches
Pros:

Tasteful room that was very new. Extremely comfortable beds and a lovely welcome with free water and chocolate treats. Right at pier and train station; next to a supermarket. Breakfast was ok. In the room, high quality Nespresso was offered.

Cons:

Nothing to complain about except the extremely high price. We booked last minute, so it is understandable, but in ordinary circumstances the price would have to be considered prohibitive.

Cons:

The hotel cannot help it (and we were aware at booking), but the presence of the large cruise ships in port completely swamped the small town. Additionally, the hotel's dining services were at least partially oriented toward attracting a different tourist preference set (e.g., cruise ship passengers) than those choosing to stay at the hotel. For example, the "Viking" jousting felt gimmicky, and below the standards of the lovely people supporting the local economy.

Loved our stay except for the dinner
Pros:

Room presentation was very. Good. We felt a warm welcome when we entered the room. Loved the tray with the flowers and candy it

Cons:

I had to cancel my original reservation when I discovered that I had booked the wrong month. When I rebooked the price was more than double. Also our dinner Ægir BrewPub, was disappointing and the waiter was bad

Stay for one night when there is no cruise ship in the harbor
Pros:

Perfect location, luggage room, nice stay to experience the village when it is calm and not crowded by thousands of tourists

Cons:

For this price you can also book a luxury hotel in Bergen, but 1 night is ok to have the experience mentioned above
