It was OK really, and a friendly welcoming place.
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Nice historical place, a warren of corridors and stairs. Noisy bar (deserted) but quiet lounge.

Cons:

I booked thinking they did evening meals as per their website, but they didn’t. We had a great meal at Carters Rest, very near. Small car park didn’t inspire confidence, but parked easily nearby.

The staff were wonderful. The room was spacious and cli.

Cons:

Booking.com showed a restaurant one minute from the hotel but there hadn't been one for over 13 years. Please update Booking.com !!!

Absolutely fine
Pros:

Nice hotel, friendly welcome. Good breakfast. We stayed one night as part of a long distance walking trip and it was absolutely fine, staff were friendly.

Cons:

They can't do evening meals, not viable for them unfortunately.

Broken locks that need fixed and dirty rooms
Pros:

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The keys do not work and I was locked outside for 20 minutes in the Main Street.

When I phoned and spoke to owner Abdul he was aware of the faulty lock and told me to keep wiggling the key

I eventually gained access to the hotel and then the key to my room didn’t work either

Cons:

Broken locks and dirty rooms. I checked out after 1 night and booked into the Royal Hotel which was excellent. I got a refund for my second night after checking out

Pros:

Vintage hotel at a reasonable price.

There is parking in the back and breakfast was pretty good.

Cons:

It is weird that they keep the lobby locked and make you wait outside until they open the bar next door.

Pros:

The hotel is well situated in the centre of Jedburg. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Sockets by the bed.

Cons:

The room was very cold. We did ask the owner to turn on the heating which he did. So the room warmed up while we were out having dinner. A portable convection heater would be great to hear rooms individually without having to turn on the whole central heating system. It took a very long time to get hot water out of the bathroom tap. I had to leave it running for a few minutes which is very wasteful. It also took a very long time for the toilet cistern to refill.
