Pros:

good base for very scenic hiking in seoraksan national park.
and there is a korean sauna and hot spring bath albeit at an additional fee.

Cons:

it feels a bit dated, and for Korean standards its not super clean.
no great food choises in the restaurant (and it closes early). fortunately there is a small CU convenience store on the premises and some nice restaurants nearby

Pros:

The hot springs were amazing! The room itself was pretty nice but nothing special. The real amazing part was the carbonated hot springs, which were so relaxing and just a cool experience. We had such an great time and staff were very helpful.

Cons:

The communication was very hard even with google translate. The restaurant closes very early ended up buying food from the convenience store.
Very hard to get if you don't have your own car.
No explanation regarding the etiquette on how to use the hot springs spa facility. It is a separate entitity and hotel gives you access.

Spa & location make this worthwhile
Pros:

the spa and location makes this hotel worth it! Spa was excellent, so big and luxurious, and the location is beautiful

Cons:

the room was not particularly clean, the lighting was horrible, the facilities and room were very dated
