The overall hotel was fine.
I paid in advance and the was billed again for my stay. I called the hotel and I was told the manager would call me and did not call. Tried calling again and no answer for over 5 minutes of ringing. I will dispute the bill at my bank and have booking agency I paid through working on this as well.
Excellent breakfast buffet
Comfortable and quiet room
Lower prices
The location and all the surrounding food options, including places to drink. It's within walking distance of the movie theater and pavilion.
I didn't like the $40-per-day valet pricing. The valet staff doesn't offer to help with the luggage or have a cart ready. I had to ask for help when it should be automatic, especially given the $40 being charged.
It’s clean, the walk in shower, proximity to restaurants and other events.
The breakfast is pricy compared to other hotels.
Location was close to everything.
They originally gave us a room that wasn’t clean.
Beautiful room, exceptional location. We stayed here and walked to the Woodlands Pavilion for a concert. The waterway is a beautiful walk. 100% stress free concert experience
Very comfortable bed and comforter. I would love to know the brand of it if you will share.
No complaints
Location
Only one bottle of water was provided daily and I think it is not enough.
Walking distance to venue and was so clean. The entire hotel smelled so clean and everything was clean
Nothing
It was accessible to the venue. Very stylish lobby. Very clean room. Quiet AC comfort.
The “didn’t like” is very small.
Dog friendly. Very clean. Comfortable beds
Everything was great
Friendly service with a personal and yet professional touch
Don't stay here. My company is pretty tight with hotels for business travel. Usuallyu Courtyards and Garden Inns. For once this Westin in the The Woodlands was on the list so I gave it a try for 2 nights - normal business. I was excited bc it will be nicer than usual. Nope. It's a Westin and it's usually way north of $300/night so yes it's a nicer hotel but the issues are not forgivable in a hotel that's supposed to be this nice and expensive. Issues
1. Started with the Valet. Pulled up. No one around. I'm blocking traffic. 10 mins later, the guy comes running up. He was nice - just doing his job. Why is there only 1 guy. It's a Westin and lot of people valet bc it's in the middle of a giant shopping area.
2. Called for breakfast at 6:30. Was told 45 mins to hour wait. This is fine if I'm on vacation, I'm not. I'm on business and I don't have that time.
3. 6:45am - leaf blowers start up. Several of them. Extremely loud. Forget about sleeping. Forget about even working in the room. So loud and echoing.
4. Construction in the hotel and outside the hotel. Incredibly loud noises outside my room. I called the front desk to inquire. Was told to call if again if it continues for a while. No call backs. Not willing to check on it now. Simply, we don't really have time for your issues.
5. Small thing but none of the hand-held phones work in the room. I wouldn't care but that how you call the front desk for loud noises all around the hotel - the loudest hotel I've been in - in years. It's also how you order room service (not with your cell and a bar scan - their phone, it's also how you get your valeted car - so how about making at least one of them work.
6. It is walking distance to great restaurants and the theatre but I won't be back. Not worth it. I'll take a quiet Courtyard where I can get breakfast quickly and I'm paying half the rate.
Very clean and elegant
Nothing
Overall, the Westin is a nice hotel and the service was good. However, if you stay on the west side of the hotel, be aware there is a nearby rooftop bar which plays loud music until 1 am. I called the front desk, and they said they could not do anything about it.
