Anche se un po' piccola, la nostra stanza era molto carina e con una bella vista sul porto. La colazione è buona, prevede una serie di pietanza preparate dalla cucina ma poche opzioni al di fuori del menù.

Cons:

Non c'è un parcheggio proprio dell'hotel. Il parcheggio consiste in un'area lungo il marciapiede di fronte all'ingresso dell'hotel che può ospitare circa 4 auto e che può essere usata solo la notte. A pochi passi dall'hotel è presente un parcheggio a pagamento anch'esso con pochi posti auto e gratuito solo la notte. Nell'hotel non c'è l'ascensore. Complessivamente troppo costoso

Pros:

very good location good room and good food .staff helpful and friendly

Cons:

not a dislike but parking could be a bit awkward no on site parking ,hotel had a car park near by but not very big,afew spaces near the bank accross the road ,also public parking free after 6pm to 8am

I was so disappointed this brought me to tears, so sorry we spent the money here staying 2 nights

This was the most expensive hotel on our trip and we had high expectations expectations. Bed was a very old mattress and only a double. My husband is 6ft 5inch. The bathroom was tiny and up a step. The room could barely see the water but was sold with grand vistas. Toilets throughout the facility were locked with only one near reception open, not in the restaurant. Even the handicapped toilet was locked.Only one cubicle throughout with any toilet paper. Breakfast was sparce compared to the many other hotels we have stayed in over the past few weeks in Scotland, although the chef did a good job with what little you were allowed to order.

Pros:

The manager was kind and courteous when sorting out our very poor start, ie we were not on the first of two nights allocated the kind of room we’d paid for upfront. Generally, we really felt sorry for the staff who were mostly trying hard.

Our food on the first night was of reasonable quality, though not very good value for money. And the cooked breakfast was good.

Cons:

The hotel is just tired, and because of high demand for accommodation locally, able to stay that way. There’s shabbiness, a feeling of being stuck in the last century, and a complete lack of thought in regard to some aspects of breakfast service. For example, the very small cups, the ‘back and forth’ to make cups of tea, there not being anywhere to discard teabags, the packet of crisps lying on a chair, the staff drinking from juice bottles during breakfast service…

It felt almost embarrassing to be Scottish; visitors to our country deserve much more than this.

Gutes Hotel im Herzen von Portree
Pros:

Es ist ein Dreisterne Hotel und in der Kategorie habe ich es auch bewertet.
Personal war durchgehend freundlich, aber nicht übertrieben.
Das Zimmer war gut, mit dem Blick zur Bankstreet allerdings etwas laut - halt im Herzen von Portree, dafür ein sehr schöner Blick auf das Wasser. Badezimmer war erstaunlich gut für ein Hotel der Kategorie.
Frühstück war wirklich ok.

Cons:

Essen abends im Restaurant hat uns nicht begeistert
Wenn auf das Zimmer Sonne scheint, kann es sehr warm werden ohne Klimaanlage
Der Feuchtigkeitsabzug im Bad hat nicht wirklich funktioniert
