Lovely view from our room
The Hotel looks a little tired and in need of a refurbishment
Great location, decent parking options.
Location, kind staff
Very run down, terrible bed, broken bed springs. Old
Centrale ligging
Hotel is toe aan grote renovatie. Echt alles is oud en versleten.
I wish I could rate the restaurant as a zero.
We walked into the restaurant just after 6 pm which was when started serving dinner. A waitress just looked around and pointed to a table. We waited for someone to come to our table to give us a menu. Nobody did. My wife went a got 2 menus. Then they seated a bunch of people and gave them menus and brought food out to other customers. We still received no attention. We gave up and walked out. We figured all the other people who walked in were going to get their food before us even though we had been there longer. Trust me, there are far better options for food in Portree.
Although we were very disappointed we didn’t get the room wth a view we booked, the room we did get was very comfortable. Staff were very responsive to our concerns.

The view was lovely
Huge amount of road noise. Road construction forced us to move room. Not a good stay
Good staff and room, but tired
Difficult parking
Breakfast was nice. Room was comfortable.
Facilities are all a little dated
The location of the hotel close to the bus station, in the centre of town and close to the harbour
The Royal Hotel in Portree is very overpriced - it is at least overpriced by £100 per night. It is classed as a 3 star but realistically it is a 2 star. There is nothing “Royal” about the Royal Portree Hotel.
