Pros:

Solamente la posizione e colazione passabile. Se non ordini dal menu non c’è praticamente di scelta nel buffet e alla domanda di poter avere un cappuccio avendo lì la macchinetta del caffè la risposta è stata solo caffè dalla brocca già pronta

Niente parcheggio, niente ascensore, cavi elettrici e prolunghe ovunque sulla testa nella sala della colazione

Non ha il parcheggio e nel periodo in cui sono stato io a Portree (metà agosto) la situazione relativa al parcheggio era abbastanza apocalittica: la cosa che mi ha un po’ infastidito é che mi hanno detto in reception che c’era un parcheggio di 5 posti a 250 metri dall’ingresso ma non ha mai avuto un posto libero e parcheggiava chiunque

Picked the Royal as it was convenient for a Stardust cruise on the Sunday.
Pros:

The lad on the desk at check in was particularly helpful.

Cons:

Bar opening at 5pm. Would have been happier with an hour earlier.

Old run down Hotel.

Old run down hotel, most expensive we paid for in 2 weeks in Scotland and by far the least desirable. This place needs an upgrade. Beds are sad. TV has very few channels, mostly BBC news. The location is the only thing going for it. Tried to get in restaurant, but always full of outside guests.

Central location for Portree, very clean, the premium room had plenty of space.

Cons:

The facilities in the room could have been a little better. A small fridge would have been a useful addition, especially for a three-night stay. We also felt the price was quite expensive for the length of our stay. Unfortunately, we were travelling during a very busy period and didn’t have much choice when it came to accommodation.

The staff were excellent.
