I really enjoyed my stay at The Local Hotel. The vibe was lovely and location is brilliant
Pros:

I loved the location, the staff, the menu and the vibe. I had an extra bed in my room to sleep on and it could have been softer - it was rather uncomfortable. More blankets would be good as well. Even if they were offerred in a basket.
The only real problem I had with the Local was the smell. The ducts need to be cleaned as the smell of oil is all through the beautiful old hotel and the rooms. It was not pleasant to walk into the smell in the room each day.

Cons:

The windows in the bathroom were open wide all the tme and it was very cold. The bathroom could do with some heating - like a strip heater up high or something that keeps it warmer and possibly some bigger hooks on the back of the doors in the shower as it was difficult to balance all my shower bits and pieces and dirty clean and clean clothes and the towels on the little hooks and small shelf.

Lovely place in a beautiful, old hotel full of character. Great restaurant/bar downstairs. Close to cafés and shops,
Pros:

Beautiful room, high ceilings, comfortable bed. Art on the walls for inspiration! Beautiful downstairs with a lovely, lively restaurant streched out across many rooms (they make a GREAT Bloody Mary!) Big bonus for the cozy fireplace room!

Cons:

The smell in our room was like something oily or varnishy, and it didn’t go away even when we tried to air the room out.

We loved the feel of The Local! It’s always amazing to see a building that has kept its true identity.
Pros:

Great location, beautiful architectural design. Loved the look and feel.

Cons:

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Facilities were clean and maintained. Great condition.

A wonderful old style pub in a magnificent location
Pros:

It’s just a fantastic pub. The food was great, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the hotel room was just a basic clean space with a really comfortable bed.
