A great accommodation option in a very convenient location made out Fremantle state really enjoyable. This was close to
Pros:

This was a beautiful old pub in a great location in Fremantle. The rooms were big and bright and airy.
The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of upstairs public guest seating.
There are shared bathrooms here which were clean and spacious, although the lighting was very dim. I would recommend.brighter for this bathroom space.

Cons:

While the bedrooms are spacious, I felt that the kitchen amenities that were on top of the bar fridge were cramped and awkward to use, especially for making hot drinks.
If the bar fridge was built into a cabinet with a bench over the top, this would’ve been much more user-friendly.
There was no wardrobe in the room instead, just a hanging rack.

Pros:

Great location, comfy bed, friendly staff.

Cons:

Communal bathroom, squeaky floor boards and just not having access to water in room. I did know it was Communal bathroom when I booked though. It was OK just not ideal. The first night was also really loud downstairs as had a room on outside.

Pros:

The bed was really comfortable and nice clean sheets etc.
The room was lovely and the pub is a beautiful old style pub with loads of character.
Great location, very accessible by public transport.
Kitchen staff were delightful.

Cons:

Our room was extremely noisy, it seems like we were directly above the DJ desk, so music boomed into our room. Sleep was impossible.
The room was really hot, the ceiling fan was broken, and the air-conditioning barely worked.
The coffee machine was a nasty little pod machine with undrinkable coffee.
The room was not serviced so the cups were left dirty and nothing was restocked (teabags and water, no loss about the coffee).
I chose the room as it was advertised as having a terrace but it didn't and you couldn't open the windows to get fresh air.
Male toilets were grubby, female ok.

Pros:

The ambiance of the old building and the view from the window.
Location of the Local in South Fremantle is excellent.
Winter fire in the bar 🔥and mulled wine!

Stairs. Not suitable for a disabled person.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Local Hotel. The vibe was lovely and location is brilliant
Pros:

I loved the location, the staff, the menu and the vibe. I had an extra bed in my room to sleep on and it could have been softer - it was rather uncomfortable. More blankets would be good as well. Even if they were offerred in a basket.
The only real problem I had with the Local was the smell. The ducts need to be cleaned as the smell of oil is all through the beautiful old hotel and the rooms. It was not pleasant to walk into the smell in the room each day.

Cons:

The windows in the bathroom were open wide all the tme and it was very cold. The bathroom could do with some heating - like a strip heater up high or something that keeps it warmer and possibly some bigger hooks on the back of the doors in the shower as it was difficult to balance all my shower bits and pieces and dirty clean and clean clothes and the towels on the little hooks and small shelf.
