Clean and friendly staff
The only thing I can fault is on the final day I asked about paying for parking and they said I didn’t need to and then I was fined £50 for not paying it.
Great breakfasts. Comfortable beds. Central location. Evening entertainment. Own large car park. Friendly staff. Lovely sea view. Many and varied restaurants nearby.
Crumbling building. Many areas need cleaning better. Minute lifts, only one of which working. General lack of maintenance. Poor Internet reception.

It was all good
Staff were nice.
Asked for a room with a walk in shower but only got a shower qubical and the entrance to the bath room was not wide enough for my wife to get in with her zimmer frame which ment I had to helper Everytime she needed to do anything in the bathroom. Also main lift not working for over two months and only had a tiny one working and the lift doors kept on shutting on my wife as she tried to squeeze into it as they gave no time for a disabled person to get in which ment I had to fight to hold the lift doors open for my wife to get in safely. You could wait up to 20 minutes to get into the lift as it was so small and all the guest were trying to use it . With all these problems we ended up going home on the Sunday three days into our holiday because it was too stressful for my wife and me . So So Disappointed with the hole experience and a waist of money especially as it was the first time we managed to have a break in five years.
Comfortable bed.
Lift nearly always a queue as would always only hold 2 maximum.
Cups were never washed and the wash basin was cracked.
Shower pressure not good.

Grand old lady of a hotel, location fantastic, breakfast fine. Decor a bit dated. Extremely good value for money !

SAFETY TO THE ROOM AS ANY ONE CAN WALK IN GO INTO THE LIFT OR UP THE STAIRS UP TO THE ROOM AND PICK THE LOCK ITS THAT ESEY AND YOUR ITEM'S WILL BE GONE.
Excellent breakfast. Relaxed buffet. Always plenty of well presented produce, especially the hot options.

The lift was very small and claustrophobic so used stairs. Bit of a climb to 4th floor.

View & location was excellent, unfortunately first impression was bad as the exterior looked like it hadn't had a coat of paint in 20 years. Inside was clean & smart. The staff were friendly & ready to help out.
Lifts were very small & only 1 of 2 was working. Bathroom was very dated & older people do not like climbing into a bath to take a shower. Food in restaurant was very limited with only a small choice of 3 course set meals, whereas the bar had a better choice of individual courses. Room wasn't cleaned after 1st day!

The shower was terrible. Water pressure so low I couldn't rinse my hair.
