Great Staff, Excellent Housekeeping, Outstanding Breakfast, and an Incredibly Quiet 15th Floor
Pros:

I really enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong. The location worked well for my trip, but the strongest part of the experience was definitely the staff and the consistency of the service.

I had good interactions with Amber, Amenda, Anne, Nas, Keisha, Jenny, Ivan, Suhana, Quyen, and Bouvan throughout my stay. Everyone contributed to making the hotel feel welcoming and personal.

For anyone coming to Singapore for the first time, one thing I noticed immediately was how fast and efficiently the staff move when something needs to be done. They move with a purpose. I have stayed in hotels around the world, and the level of speed and organization here was unlike what I usually experience. Whether it involved the front desk, breakfast, housekeeping, or solving a problem, things were handled quickly and efficiently.

I did have an ongoing issue with my room door lock and key cards. Amenda, the Manager on Duty, and the Engineering team stayed on top of it, and eventually the lock mechanism had to be replaced. Amenda also waived the early check-in charge because of the inconvenience, which was a very nice gesture and showed that the hotel took the issue seriously.

Amber was especially warm and lively during several interactions, and I also appreciated the friendliness and help from Jenny, Ivan, Anne, Nas, Suhana, Bouvan, and Keisha.

I want to especially recognize Quyen, my housekeeper, for excellence in keeping my room clean. She consistently did an outstanding job throughout my stay. I appreciated her work so much that when I return, I plan to request the same room and ask if Quyen can be my housekeeper again. I have already given her a strong review separately, but she deserves another mention here.

Breakfast was outstanding and consistently ready on time every morning. I noticed that even when different staff members were handling the setup, everything was organized, prepared, and ready to go when it was supposed to be.
