The view is the only good thing about this hotel!
Very worn down and grubby. Our room had damp on the walls, years over due a lick of paint, needing a major upgrade, the carpets were so old they were coming away from the edges and they were so dirty, ripped edges. The view is what you pay for it was gorgeous.
Stayed twice. The first room was newly upgraded and very nice, the second an older room but comfortable. It was clean.
Breakfast was average, fish and chips truly excellent!
Parking is virtually non existent.
Very basic room and hotel for the price paid. Hotel is outdated but that might be the attraction and level of detail with keeping with the surroundings. Served well as a bed for the night.
Near town centre
We were given a double room with peeling paint, dampness, springs coming through mattress, rust covered handrail at bath, I complained and we were given an upgrade ,
There was nothing to like. Breakfast was about the only ok thing in this hell hole
The staff were rude manager even worse than the general staff. Rooms need upgrading really bad.
Work was ongoing while there but no one e informed. Tvs in room couldn't get signal.
This was meant to be a relaxing break it was far from it. Being woken up at stupid a clock but builders swearing.
Photos to show work needing done. Which wouldn't take to long
Hotel need up dated breakfast was good it was hot the lady in the breakfast room was lovely the rooms are big but the shower was small we were near the two you can get a ferry to mull
Location
Breakfast was passable that’s all
Everything
Location! Staff nice enough.
Old and dated! Dirt in corners dust thick on radiator, mould in bathroom dark dingy. Window looking onto 2 skips. Would not stay here again. Speaking to couple who had paid to move to Premier inn as was so bad.
The view from our room was incredible. Absolutely stunning, overlooking Kerrera and watching the ferries on their journey to the other local Islands.
It was so hot, right in the middle of the heatwave. Our window, an old wooden original sash/slide wouldn't open. There was a small bolt screwed in on the inside mid way up (which we later found out was what kept it shut) I had to ask for help from the hotel staff to open it as it was so heavy and awkward to open. When they did open it, it only opened up about 2 inches and then they placed small bits of wood to keep it open. The room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable so they provided us with a fan, which was so small but better than nothing. Bathroom very 'old' shower went from hot to cold. Just a very basic room.
Staff, food, comfy bed
Squeaky floor board's

Cleanliness needs upgrading
Had a great two day break in Oban and this hotel served it purpose perfectly. Its location on the prom and near the car park was perfect for us.
The bar was poorly stocked and infact ran out of beer and other drinks on our second day. Also barman kept dissapearing from bar sometimes for 15 minutes plus.
