Pros:

La situation avec les bateaux proches, juste pour une jolie photo. Absolument rien aimé dans cet hôtel.

Cons:

Le camping à côté, et les campeurs qui viennent manger dans l’établissement.
La saleté dans les parties communes.
Le personnel absent et peu serviable.
Petit-déjeuner minimaliste et insipide.

Nice hotel. Staff could have been more helpful.

Beautiful location. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Beautiful view. Good food.

Cons:

We had a flat tire while we were there. The person at reception saw that we were completely lost (we had just arrived and it was our first night after leaving Reykjavik) and unable to reach the insurance company, but she never offered any help. All she did was lend me the phone when I asked for it, since I hadn't been able to get the call through on my cell. For the price we paid for the hotel, I'd expect the person at reception to be a lot more helpful. She never offered to help me make the call or find the nearest place to get the tire fixed.

Magical stay!
Pros:

We loved everything about this hotel. It is a magical place. Very comfortable room and beds, amazing location and wonderful hot tub and sauna. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant were exceptional. We stayed two nights and very much enjoyed the hot tub area and the small city. A welcome break in pace in our ring road trip.

Pros:

In un piccolo ma delizioso villaggio, la posizione è un capolavoro, lobby per gustare una birra col caminetto e sala colazione praticamente sul molo, vista spaziale ovunque con le montagne del fiordo.
Il personale è sempre stato molto gentile, anche nel fornire utili informazioni circa i sentieri del percorso barriere anti valanghe – assolutamente consigliato, parte proprio dal parcheggio e, in un’ora di marcia molto sostenuta, si può giungere al Gróuskarð, un passo in quota con un panorama strepitoso dai versanti del fiordo.
Rientrando la sera, il parcheggio potrebbe essere pieno ma è possibile trovare posto nello spiazzo più vicino all’entrata anche lungo il bordo laterale.
La colazione m’è piaciuta tantissimo, in particolare le aringhe, una pancetta indimenticabile perché non bruciata e le meatballs fantastiche, ma c’erano anche altre cose, tutte buone.
La wifi operava bene e la camera, a parte la vista molto bella, era a sua volta carina e con doccia che, pur aperta a un lato, aveva il getto al soffitto fisso e quindi allagava quasi niente.
Hotel super raccomandato, un’esperienza fantastica in un bellissimo villaggio, ottima base anche per raggiungere Grimsey (mettere in conto 40’ d’automobile per arrivare a Dalvík dove si prende il traghetto).
Complimenti ancora, è stato davvero bello.

Cons:

Mancava un frigorifero ma questo m’era noto quindi non la riporto come anomalia, bensì come miglioria, perché per me è vitale (medicine ed altre cose), ho dovuto attrezzarmi diversamente.
Una nota invece sulla scrivania, che risulta troppo bassa ed ha il bordo di legno contro cui si rischia facilissimamente di sbattere e procurarsi lesioni. La scrivania stile quasi retrò è molto carina ma pericolosamente troppo bassa, non mi sento di abbassare il giudizio al top nel complesso per questo però, davvero va segnalato che tocca facilmente le cosce, almeno a me: basta muoversi appena per farsi molto male, si dovrebbe fare qualcosa in merito.

Schönes Hotel
Pros:

Schönes Hotel, moderne und schöne Zimmerausstattung, dicke Blackouts, sehr bequeme Betten, Badezimmer, Frühstück.

Cons:

Unsere Zimmerfenster waren mit dem Blick auf den Parkplatz und es sind Touristen vor den Fenstern gelaufen. Personal beim Frühstück war nicht aufmerksam: Gäste wurden nicht begrüßt, die Mitarbeiterinnen haben mit einander getratscht.
