A piece of paradise, I would recommend to anyone.
Pros:

It was a little slice of heaven. Waking up to the view every day was like nowhere else. We stayed in the Bungalow and it was just perfect. It was ultimate relaxation. I didn’t want to leave and would go back there in a heartbeat.

Increible hotel para descansar. Paraiso total

Increible hotel en ilha grande. Alejado del centro... No se aprecia en las fotos lo precioso que es... es increible de verdad. Hay una tranquilidad, una vegetacion impresionante. La piscina, el jacuzzi, la playita.... Increible todo
Las vistas son increibles, una habitacion de ensueño. Fue precioso, muy buen desayuno, muy completo. Lo recomiendo mucho. Es de pelicula total.

Cons:

Si luego quieres ir a abraao a pasar otras noches, te hacen reservar un barco privado y son 450 reales...... Es un poco excesivo.

A little slice of paradise 
Pros:

This is a perfect spot to spend a few days and forget about the world. The standard room was very comfortable and had a lovely verandah from which to watch the ocean. The food is fantastic, especially the breakfast. The staff were really pleasant to deal with, and are very friendly. We brought snacks to eat for lunch instead of eating at the restaurant 3 times per day, and that worked well for us. Drinking water was available at all times in the bar area.

Cons:

There are a few important caveats:

- There is a lot of pleasure boat traffic in this area, some with lots of loud music.
- The hotel does not offer any laundry service.
- I was in a standard room, and there was quite a bit of noise transmission between the rooms. Thankfully we had quiet neighbours!
- If you want to explore Ilha Grande, there does not appear to be any water taxi service - you have to make arrangements with independent operators and prices are quite high. The hotel can help with arrangements.
- I never saw the bugs, but I received lots of bites on my ankles. I would recommend bringing bug spray.

Simplesmente sem palavras para falar do Paraíso Azul Retiro. Superou todas as nossas expectativas. Fui passar a Lua de mel com a minha esposa e ficamos no quarto SPA. Foi tudo perfeito, o atendimento foi incrível desde o primeiro momento. Sheila, Yasmin e equipe, muito obrigado! O restaurante é ótimo e com preço justo, o café da manhã delicioso. Para quem busca tranquilidade em um paraíso, esse é o lugar certo. Em 10-15min de caiaque você está em grumixama, uma das praias mais bonitas que já vi, e na lagoa azul. A praia da pousada também é ótima e a estrutura da pousada é perfeita para quem busca paz e relaxamento.

Pros:

Both the location and the people who work there are unique. We were accommodated in a beautiful hut containing high-quality beds and attractive furniture. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When our daughter fell ill, people provided us with all the necessary information, booked a boat for us and were generally very kind. The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. Water, tea, and coffee are available free of charge.

Cons:

Breakfasts were simple and not so tasty, but this is a common issue in many places in Brazil. The hut lacked dark curtains, so light pollution from the coast and the nearby stairs was somewhat disturbing, as was the early morning light. Nevertheless, we would like to come back to this wonderful place.

A praia é linda e maravilhosa. A jacuzzi aquecida é ótima. Tamanho do quarto muito bom. Praticamente 2 quartos conjugados.

Estadía increíble en un verdadero paraíso
Pros:

Es un lugar precioso, con una ubicación excelente. Servicios increíbles. Muy buena relación precio-calidad. Para nosotros, lo mejor de Ilha Grande (es la cuarta vez que vamos a esta isla y la segunda a Paraíso Azul).
